The location is fabulous if you are catching the train. Loads of things to see and do around the hotel. Word of advis

the location was fabulous as I was taking the train on the Saturday.

The room I was given was not what I expected for the price. As my flight was delayed and my check in was later than expected, I was given a room which was not what I thought I was getting.

Weekend stay in stunning hotel

Staff very friendly and helpful at check in and in bar / restaurant. Fabulous bar with a great vibe, food and drinks good quality. Immaculate cleanliness. Great location.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, location was very convenient.

We liked the location and the architecture of the building . Staff were very helpful and polite. Lovely coffee on arrival.

Our room was very warm and we couldn’t alter the temperature setting. Breakfast was rather disappointing. Eggs on my cooked breakfast were undercooked and inedible as was the bacon.

Stuff stolen from hotel room by member of staff

The stay was too traumatic for me to remember anything good

I choose hotels instead of options such as Airbnb to feel safe and secure. After my stay here I felt anything but safe and secure. Briefly, I had valuable sentimental items stolen right from the security box in my room. It was clearly by a staff member. The hotel initially handled it adequately and identified the staff member. but it has been over a week since my stay and 10 days since the incident and I have yet to receive any information as to what happened to the staff member or my belongings. It ruined my stay as I was afraid to leave the room after and no other hotels had bookings. I recieved 1 email since saying that they are still working on it. The hotel have also not tried or offered to compensate me in any shape or form. I don't even know what would make the awful experience any better.

We were there to celebrate my birthday and I came away feeling like the have had a very special time away.

Beautiful architecture. Relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The pool, steam and sauna after breakfast was delightful.

Lovely hotel, cold (overworked?) staff

Good position for central london, beautiful building, comfortable room

No comfortable lounge room, or intimate bar: dining/breakfast room long waits for service, the chairs throughout hotel were stylish but uncomfortable: (leaning too far back) and the bar and restaurant Rennaisance staff did not seem pleased to be serving except for the staff at the Midland Hotel next door who were happier and willing to be friendly and helpful.

Great stay, great staff, great service

The check in and welcome glass of prosecco, the helpful staff, the meal in the french restaurant was outstanding, the night manager/porter was great too making check out effortless as we left early to catch the eurostar

It was very noisy all night with the sound of the tube trains and cars and emergency vehicles outside. No double glazing as its a listed building I presume, but could benefit from secondary double glazing added which would be acceptable.

Good location but there are better hotels available for much less

Distance from King’s Cross

The room wasn’t as clean as I would expect (eg urine on the toilet seat from a previous guest), only one towel in a double room. Our room overlooked a very loud and noisy wedding reception which continued until midnight.

I would recomment this place

the staff were very friendly. The guest service was quick. the location is fantastic, very close to the train station, the tube and the Eurostar station.

The room was ok. I paid almost 500 pounds for one night, and the room had an awful view. The room was very small compared to others in the same range of prices.

60th birthday celebrations

Very friendly welcoming staff( especially Romain) Invitation to the chambers was a nice touch, thank you

Lack of vegetarian and vegan choices in chambers at breakfast. We spoke to staff about this who were very apologetic and noted this for future guests. We had 2 rooms,one was too hot and the other too cold and we were unable to adjust temperature.

Very nice.

Location was perfect as I was traveling on a very early Eurostar. The room was very comfortable, very clean and modern however, considering the price of the room, perhaps I was expecting more.

I had higher expectations of the room itself. Considering the excruciating price of a room service, sandwich, the bread was cold and hard. It was sourdough but anyone who knows anything about sourdough would tell you it can not be eaten cold if you want to keep your teeth. The filling was delicious and so were the accompanying chips. Not a lot of choices on desserts.

A treat

The beautiful building and public areas. Great location and best beds I have slept in. So comfortable

Breakfast was Luke warm. Plenty of it but cooked breakfast was not hot. Very disappointing for the price. Maitre De was very helpful & arranged for fresh cooked eggs.

Ideal pour un city break

Très bon accueil. Encore merci pour la gentille attention concernant l'anniversaire de mon conjoint :)) Buffet petit-déjeuner superbe avec un personnel aux petits soins !

Le seul bémol c'est que la chambre n'avait pas de lumière du jour directe ( ça donnait sur les poutres de la grande verrière..)..c'était plutôt sombre ... :(

Dreadful and disappointing

We were not at all happy with the stay.

The staff did not inform us on checkin of the facilities, where to find things, what was included we had to find out for ourselves. The room was average our window overlooked a function room and there was a function on and then being packed up and between that, the trains underneath us and the thumping of people in the rooms above there was little sleep or rest to be had. Breakfast was included the wait staff took my knife from the table twice and never asked if I need it, which I did. I then asked for a knife to butter my bread and he took the bread away. We felt unheard and very uncared for and exhausted from the night of no sleep. So a very bad experience. When we checked out we advised the receptionist that we had a dreadful stay and he offered us a cocktail. Um no thanks we are exhausted and about to embark on a 24 hour journey home and have had little rest. Too strange. There was also food in our fridge left from the people before us, no shelf in the shower for soap, shampoo or conditioner and no power point for hairdryer. We have been travelling for 3 weeks and have had brilliant accommodation for a similar price. So very disappointing.

Overpriced for what you get

The location and grandeur of property. Loved the helpfulness of concierge and reception.

The staff in restaurant were grumpy and not that attentive for the price that they charged. Food was hugely overpriced for quality.

Lovely hotel let down by staff

Lovely hotel let down by staff who really don’t care. Definately not 5* service.

They double charged us and it took over 2 weeks to finally get our money back and the responses for the service teams in the hotel were shocking and just totally unhelpful. Booking.com did not ever reply despite multiple requests to them as well. Got zero Marriott benefits as well. This beautiful hotel is let down badly with uncaring staff and a management team.

An exquisite stay at a superb hotel

The staff were exceptional - so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The room was gorgeous, well-equipped with good amenities, a fabulous location, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I loved my stay here and can't wait to visit again.

Belle expérience

Emplacement excellent pour prendre le train. Bâtiment sublime même si les chambres "premier prix" sont dans un bâtiment neuf à l'arrière. Personnel très professionnel et agréable. Lit confortable, chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, plateau de courtoisie de qualité. Calme. Pas pris de petit déjeuner sur place et revanche diner au restaurant / bar excellent et cadre agréable.

Equipement un peu vieillot, manque de prise usb, peu de prises à proximité du lit et pas d'adapteur. Pour un hôtel international, peu de choix dans les chaines tv (pas d'accès plateforme Netflix, Prime...).
