Our stay was very enjoyable, would definitely recommend the Piccolino.

We loved our upgraded room, the breakfast was really good and the location very central x

Good

The breakfast was good and price was reasonable. We lost the key but staff were kind enough not to charge us but we found it eventually! Also it was near a major and accessible train station so transportation was not an issue.

The beds are old and ripped but they were comfortable and room was clean. However the shower head was broken but we can still use it and it was powerful so all good.

definitely will not be recommending this to anyone

where the hotel was situated, was good, either a good walk or taxi to some of London’s attractions

it was small, Certainly way below our standard of cleanliness and certainly wasn’t described on the internet as to how small and over used furniture and fittings, especially the window. No pac test on mobile electrical equipment, ie heater, hair dryer

The room was cute. The location good - near Paddington and Hyde Park. A varied breakfast included.

Pleasant

Very good location, easy to reach with almost everything and a quiet neiborhood. Nice staff. There was a plug-in in the room compatible with the EU ones (only one). Cleaning room service everyday. The heater was a bit tricky but it worked.

Too thin walls and you hear everything. No Wi-Fi on the top floors. For someone on roaming this is the worst case. I asked at the reception to do something about it and they moved the only modem from 1st to 2nd floor but it didn't reach the top floors. Need to buy new Wi-Fi routers. Poor breakfast. Came 1 hour before ending and there were no more sausages. No glasses for juice, had to use the cups. Instant coffee. For the price we payed, I expected at least some real coffee. They need to write the bed size. It was too short for me. I'm 1,9 and I kept my legs outside. The windows are hard to open and close.

Weekend getaway

Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast, nicely decorated room, good value. Would come back.

Our room was on the top floor and there are toooo much stairs and no lift. The room was very cold beacuse of the old windows. But if you turn the radiator a little bit over the normaln room temperature its okay and warm. The bathroom was very small and a little bit smelly from the drain. But afterall this are small things, so I would recommend to stay here for weekend 🙂

Very poor

Very good location, friendly and helpful staff

We had four days in this hotel. Wi fi didn't work at all. A room was smelling of cigaretes. Very small bathroom. If you are a bigger size person you have to open the doors in the bathroom because there is no enough space between doors and sink. We had to wait 15 min hot water in the shower. A room needs repairing.

Very good

Staff is very helpful and take care of your needs. I informed Azim in the first day that I need very good wifi connection becouse of an important call and he even proposed me to bring a rooter in my room. I really appreciate it!

Mixed bag experience

The staff were helpful and friendly - the receptionist said that our room was at the very top of the hotel (94 steps, I think it was!), but he offered to carry our luggage up for us, as there were no lifts - nice touch! The bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good.

The shower turned from cold to hot and back again too much, which was irritating first thing in the morning. There was no plug in the basin, which made hand shaving and washing rather tedious. As with so many budget hotels, the shower issue had been mentioned in previous reviews I saw, but they somehow aren't always bothered with fixing these kind of problems, probably depending on high turnover of guests? The room was rather small for the price we paid...

Very good

Friendly staff, the hostel is open around the clock. Very good location, there were two subway stations within walking distance (under 10 minutes). Also the bus stopes were near and you could easily get everywhere from the hostel. There were different cafes/pubs, McDonalds, KFC and souvenir shops nearby. The breakfast buffet was good (boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans, fruits (apple, orange, banana), cereal, muffins, nutella, toasts (+toaster), croissants, butter, jams, hams, tomatoes and cucumber, coffee, tea, milk, juice, water). There was a TV, table, closet and kettle with cups (+ coffee, tea and sugar packets) in the room. Good value for the price!

Rooms are small and stuffy (in the summer). No AC but we had a fan in our room that helped. The beds were quite small, double beds for two people were only 52 inch/147 cm wide. Very small bathroom (one shower head was leaking). Our rooms were on the second and third floor and the stairs were quite narrow. The wifi was not very reliable but it worked alright at some places and at some times. The bed sheets were not changed during our 6-night stay. The staff took our used towels from the bathroom, did not change them and folded them onto the bed each morning getting them mixed up (there was no "do not disturb/clean" sign), bins were emptied every day, though. Building had thin windows and old frames that would definitely let cold in in winter.

Great staff, great location, excellent wifi. A bit pricey but probably because I booked last minute.

The staff was excellent. Very pleasant. The wifi was excellent. Best hotel wifi I've ever experienced. Better wifi than any 5-star hotel I've ever stayed in. The beds were small but cosy. They offered a cooked breakfast. Excellent location.

The room we stayed in needed to be dusted and cobwebs removed. The hallway smelled musty. The carpet in the stairwell is stained and smells damp.

Superb

The hotel is few minutes away from Hyde Park and Lancasters Gate tube station. There are restaurants and pubs nearby. This is a nice and inexpensive hotel. The room was not too small, kinda renovated and had a balcony. They also serve simple breakfast.

Sometimes WiFi stopped working.
