Placement and a room for the hole family was kay but it was a really nice hotel and we sleped so well.

We stayed at Columbus Hotel for two nights and, overall. The hotel is fairly basic, and there were a few things that could certainly be improved, particularly in the bathroom, housekeeping and general room maintenance. Some fittings felt dated, and the room was quite warm.
That said, I think it is important to judge the hotel in relation to the price we paid. For a short London stay, it offered reasonable value, especially given its convenient location near Paddington. Another nice bonus was that a basic continental breakfast was included in the price, with ham and cheese toast, cereals and coffee, which was enough to start the day.
The staff were also helpful. If you are looking for luxury, this is probably not the right choice, but as a budget-friendly base in London, it met our main needs and represented fair value for money.
There is no elevator and could have used a Toilet brush in the bathroom and some extra toiletries.

Breakfast was adequate. But the basic processed cheese and ham were disappointing. No fresh fruit either.
On arrival the receptionist was very direct, almost rude and almost unwelcoming.

Room was clean and breakfast was good. The location is excellent with lots to see very close by and good dining and transport options.
The bathroom is so small it's difficult to use. The stairs were also difficult. I was travelling with my elderly mum and wish I had chosen a different hotel.
