Superb service from the Wildlife team here, a special mention due to Kasun whose prompt, invaluable assistance was the backbone in organising our trip including transportation and the most remarkable safari experience with Boody (I hope spelt right!). Re the safari - we had concerns about how busy Yala NP would be - we also visited Wilpattu - and honestly, both were busy at the gates but well controlled. Still Yala is well worth doing as the crowds do dissipate into the park, we saw so much in our full day tour, including incredible experiences close-up to a very chilled leopard (Panwa) strolling up and across the road right next to us (our jeep was stationery) and watched the dominant male Lucas drinking and rolling in a waterhole. Magical. Plus water buffalo, deer, lizards birdlife and stunning scenery. Wild Yala is fabulously located surrounded by wildlife, right beside a watering hole with water buffalo, elephants and crocodiles - you are accompanied when walking after dark so it feels super safe. Both jungle and ocean on the doorstep. Nice, comfortable, clean rooms - we were in jungle rooms - with everything as expected, wonderful buffet meals in the outdoor restaurant. Particularly commend the restaurant staff here who were so warm, helpful, friendly and courteous.
Nothing - we would have stayed another day.

The property is located very close to the Yala National park. Just outside the resort is a beautiful lake, filled with crocodiles. It is beautiful to watch in the afternoons and evenings
The food is insipid. Very bad food. Nothing to do at the resort other than the safaris to Yala National park. The rooms are very very basic and over priced. At 450 dollars a night, it was absolutely not worth it
