The location was really good, it was what we enjoy not in a busy area so we could relax and enjoy the quiet (although there is a school next to the hotel it was still quiet). The garden is really nice and quite a suntrap with plenty of seating, it has a pool and gym which we did not use but they did look inviting, the breakfast was really good with a good selection of cold food to choose from, the room was large and the bed very comfortable and the cleaning staff were really good. The bar was very cosy and has a free jukebox to use. For all its faults (these can easily be resolved) we would come back again.
The lady that greeted us at breakfast was very abrupt and at times rude to us, she never smiled and did not make us feel welcome, the serving staff were the complete opposite all very lovely.
The hotel could really do with a refresh but that is not as bad as it sounds, the room was clean and tidy however the bathroom did need a lot of work, the bathroom floor was really cracked and was quite sharp, the bath needs to be replaced with a shower and the shower curtain does need to go.
The way into the hotel car park is very tight and you have to be very careful driving in, the car park is also very snug for cars but it does have a car park so a bonus.
