Excellent location. Next to the pedestrian zone so it was close shopping and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful

We chose this hotel for its location - in the Altstadt and yet close to Heidelberg Hbf for easy access to DB trains. Our choice proved to be excellent!
This hotel is a family-run business of a smallish hotel operating to very high standards. The hotel's ambiance - whether in the guest rooms or the reception area (where breakfast is also laid out) - was wonderful. For our first two nights there were only a few guests staying - breakfast was therefore a very pleasant, relaxing and peaceful event. The range of food provided was very good.
There were numerous shops and restaurants on the Hauptstrasse lying to the east of the hotel and right up to the Marktplatz and the Kornmarket.
Our bed was extremely comfortable.
The WiFi worked well.
There was a very large electronic security box (securely bolted to the wall).
All the staff were helpful - we would particularly like to praise the help and information from Niccolette at reception on our arrival (and thereafter during our stay) - many thanks, Niccolette!!
Everything was good about this hotel.

Parking was requested on booking but not attended to. Had to park at a location nearby (shopping centre) and cost a lot more than was advertised :-(
