The room was nicely decorated and spotless. Bed super comfy. Cath was so helpful and friendly suggesting places to go and how to get there. The location was fantastic with the bus stop out front and never waited longer than five minutes for a bus. The public transport is amazing in Edinburgh. Loved it there.

host was friendly upon arrival and going into the city center by bus was easy.
the amount of noise from the road was honestly appalling. a couple reviews recommended earplugs but for how much i paid per night, i feel like that shouldn't have to be the case! all day and night you can hear cars driving by so clearly you'd think the window was open. i stayed 2 nights and had to deal with a wasp (which i thought was a bee at first) in my room along with two large spiders and another random bug. i understand that it's an older building but i've never had to deal with bugs to that extent in an accommodation. the bathroom also smelled like wet dog and the water temperature often fluctuated. wifi was spotty and would often drop which was frustrating.
