Veldig hyggelig sted -både ute i hagen og nede i kjellerstua.
Vi var på MC tur - passet perfekt til dette.

Really cozy house with absolutely beautiful details everywhere. They have 2 big rooms for reading or playing dozen of fun and traditional games that was so much fun. The garden is great to enjoy too! Breakfast was fantastic and it's so nice that they use mostly fresh and locally sourced products.

Loved the guest house adjacent to the main hotel. The leisure spaces were lovely. We had use of a washer/dryer!! The food was good!
Breakfast was sparse. But, to be fair, we were visiting during off season in September.

Valldal offered a wonderfully cosy and impeccably maintained setting, complemented by excellent food that enhanced the overall sense of comfort. The thoughtfully curated décor, harmonious colour palette, and stylish furnishings, along with inviting relaxation areas, created a serene and welcoming atmosphere. It was an ideal retreat for unwinding, truly embodying the feeling of a home away from home. The food was amazing too sbd show cased the region.
While the accommodation itself was excellent, I was disappointed with the level of hospitality from the staff. Earlier on the day of our arrival, I received an email advising that dinner would be available but recommending that we book in advance. I immediately sent a message requesting a reservation for two people, only to be told to arrange it upon arrival. When we checked in and booked the dinner, we were seated beside the entrance door. I queried this because I had attempted to reserve earlier, yet was told there were other reservations. To make matters more frustrating, several better tables nearby remained unoccupied for the entire evening.
The service felt polite but lacked warmth and genuine hospitality. There was no friendly welcome at check-in or farewell at departure, and no one asked how our stay, meal, or food had been. Having to go to the counter to pay at the end of the meal also interrupted what could have been a relaxing dining experience.
There were also a couple of small details that could be improved, such as the body wash in the bathroom having run out.
Overall, the property itself is beautiful and comfortable, but a warmer, more attentive approach from the staff would greatly enhance the guest experience.
