The room was very well appointed. The restaurant food was very good.
There was no heating in the whole building and it was getting cold at night. When I asked about heating I was given a nest portable heater which was fine. I think the management could have been aware of clients' discomfort before being prompted.

Location was nice. Plenty of parking. Comfortable bed. Decent breakfast though not a patch on the (less expensive) place we stayed the previous nights.
Although the weather had turned, the heating had not been switched on and the room and bathroom were cold. We had to get staff to sort the radiators to work properly and get us some extra blankets. Layout of the room was poor -- in the large space there was just one armchair and a tiny stool for the tiny dresser table. The space to the side of the bed to reach the bathroom was a bit narrow. The shower controls were partly broken, we were unable to change the temperature of the water (reported to staff on check out). We had requested a quiet room but it was very close to keyed doors from the pub area so we were disturbed when other guests came through those. The bathroom had an automatic detector which turned the full bright light on when you entered, a night light would be better. Most staff weren't able to help with hotel questions, and it took a long time for them to find a colleague who could.

Lovely country pub tucked away in a lovely rural location.
So peaceful & relaxing. Room was fab, decorated to a very high standard, very comfy bed.
Food was delicious & staff were great😊
We will absolutely be staying again soon
