The soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed trusses and two-story moss rock gas fireplace are stunning. Large windows flood the area with natural light and capitalize on the forest and mountain views. Rich leather sofas and chairs around the room make for an elegant (yet cozy) gathering place. There’s a large flat-screen TV for watching a movie or catching the morning snow report. There’s also a study just off the living area with another large flat-screen TV and a gas fireplace. Nice house for a group or family. The house is not ski in/out. The base of Peak 8 is a easy 10 minute walk. I would not call the property luxury - furnishings are dated, linens & towels not luxurious - but that said it was a great ski house for a family with kids. We had a few maintenance issues which they tried to remedy. Ice maker did not work & they did not attempt to fix. When we arrived, snow had not been shoveled - they sent someone out to clear. We then had 20 + inches of snow & they did not come to clear again and we did not have a shovel which we requested to clear deck to get to hot tub. Overall a good house - just know it is not totally as advertised.

My girlfriends and I went up there for a getaway weekend girls trip and the property did not disappoint. The home can comfortably fit 20 people and the kitchen/living space was perfect for a group of that size to hang out. We could not, however, figure out how to turn on the hot tub which was a bit disappointing. There were also a few broken window panes, blinds, and hardware handles upon arrival, but nothing major. We contacted the rental company (Summit Mountain Rentals) about this so I am sure it will be taken care of quickly. Summit Mountain Rentals was wonderful throughout the whole process- super responsive for all of my inquiries and very friendly as well. Thanks for letting us stay!

The location of the house is great. However for the price there are some things that did not meet our expectations. You can tell that the kitchen drawers have been well used for a while and do not pull out or go in smooth. I would have expected newer soft close drawers and doors. The pool table is in terrible condition, not level and has rips and holes in the felt. The bumpers are crushed down and it has crushed beer cans under the legs to level it. The pool cues are not good and there was zero chalk for the cue. The toilet paper provided is like what you would get at the cheapest of hotels, paper thin single ply. Also you could tell that at least in the shower I used that the tile had been installed hasitily and sloppy. And mold and mildew had not been properly cleaned in quite a while as there was plenty around the bottom of the shower. It felt like management prioritizes profits over long term appeal and client return. For the price I think I would just stay at the Grand Colorado next time.

The house was beautiful and easily accommodated our extended family of 15. The location was great! Lots of stairs, but that's expected because the house is built on the side of a mountain. A few things were broken/not working (one of two dishwashers, built-in microwave, kitchen drawer, basement microwave). In addition, some lights were out and some light switches didn't work. We reported all these immediately to Summit Rental management, who handles the property. Maintenance showed up promptly; however, because we were there only 3 days, only one thing got fixed before we left. Other than that, the house was fantastic.

It’s not ski in/ski out but very close. 250 yard walk to peak 8, so we either walked or had someone at the house pick us up for lunch and end of day. We rented our skis at Breck Sports at Peak 7 because they have free overnight storage for skis and poles (breck sports at peak 8 did not). There is a gondola from peak 8 base to peak 7 base. It was better than carrying skis home every night.
House was awesome. The openness of the living room to the kitchen, dining room and upstairs was great with a big group.

Group Ski Trip
We had a great time here. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after a day on the slopes. The house had several things that needed repair, but otherwise is a very nice place in a great location.

Overall great house and location. The "loft" does not have its own door so know that ahead of time when booking the rental. Rental company was very helpful and responded to issues very quickly. Would recommend!

Beautiful, spacious, clean home
Beautiful home. Accurate to listing. Huge kitchen with plenty of counter space to cook. Loved how there's so many fireplaces throughout the home and individual bathrooms for every room

Overall it was a good experience with room for our guests, however, there were some issues. The coffee filters were not cleaned out from the last renters and had mold in them, the grill appeared to have never been cleaned and which started a fire when the grill was started and was close to the house but luckily no damage done, and the sauna did not work.

Slightly underwhelmed
The house was in a good location and the main level is beautiful. It was also well stocked.. The lay out is a bit weird though and super choppy. The house seemed clean but you could tell no one actually lives there or had used it for some time. There were a couple of broken chairs as well as dust around the house. It was ok for this trip but I will not rebook this house.

Great Stay Overall
A group of 15 men, we enjoyed our extended weekend stay at this home near the ski resort! The home has an open floor plan and plenty of room to comfortably hang out during the day and soundly sleep through the night. The home was clean at check-in and our hosts did not hesitate to help with anything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to bring our families here next time we're in the area! Also, hot tub was a very nice bonus!
