The house was even nicer than we expected! Great location - walkable to beach and a very short drive to restaurants and shopping. We had not been to South Haven previously and were so charmed by this quaint little town. When we arrived the neighbors were out and filled us in on beach accesses, dinner suggestions etc. Would absolutely stay here again - clean, kitchen well equipped, bed and linens comfy. Only complaint is that there was no bath soap in the showers. Have usually found a small bar in our VRBO's. Not a big deal - need to better plan ahead! Thanks for a great stay.

This was our second time staying at the Oak Street Beach House and we loved it just as much the second time around. The home was very clean and the neighborhood is beautiful! Our son loves the outdoor shower! We will definitely be back for another memorable South Haven vacation.

My family and I stayed at the Oak Street Beach House for 7 nights and had a wonderful time! The house was perfect. My family consisted of my parents (74 and & 77) 4 adults in their 40s and a 7 and 9 year old and we had plenty of room! The house is spacious and decorated so cute with a beach theme. The house has everything you possibly could ever need. All kitchen gadgets and cookware, plenty of bathroom towels, Roku, and cable. Plenty of hooks in the bathroom and hallway for towels and swimwear for 8!! There is a washer and dryer to use as well. Every possible beach item you could think of they offered. 3 bags of sand toys, 7 great breach chairs that you can carry on your back, 3 umbrellas, and a heavy-duty beach wagon! The outdoor seating had plenty of seating for all 8 of us. The beds were super comfortable with extra blankets if needed. John was a great host! Answered all my questions and was very prompt to respond. The beach is literally half block away. My parents were able to do the walk with no problem. (Walking in the sand was another story. lol) One suggestion- the sink area is small in the hall bathroom. I might suggest a small table next to the toilet for guests to use for bathroom bags. We just moved the décor from the bottom shelf and used that. John- Thanks for a great stay! Your place was perfect! If we ever return to South Haven we will definitely stay at the Oak Street Beach House. It met all our needs!

This was our 4th year staying at The Oak Street Beach House and we have already booked for next year! The house is in the perfect location in walking distance to the beach (very short walk) and the shopping/restaurant district ( longer but totally doable walk). Everything you need is provided !! Highly recommend!!

While the location of the house to the beach was great, the walk to town easily doable, and the space was very adequate for the four of us, the fireworks were the touches to the house. It was set up like I imagine the owners would want it if they lived there. From the knife set to the dishes, coffee makers, and extra of everything. Just a lot of little touches that make this place standout. Best VRBO experience yet. Fordhams, we should become friends!

We have been coming to John’s house for years and will be back next year. Clean, quiet and steps to a private beach. The ONLY suggestion is the living room furniture, while nice looking, is not comfortable to lounge on after a day at the beach. But besides that small suggestion, please keep as is.

Wow! We couldn’t have picked a better spot for our South Haven getaway. We were blown away at how clean and inviting the place was. We appreciated the extra touches like the kids books, toys and puzzles. We stayed with our two little boys and my in laws and it was the perfect set up for us—having a “master” bedroom for grandma and grandpa. We have already talked to our friends about renting it again next summer! Being so close to Oak Beach was exactly what we needed! The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking. Thank you for making our first South Haven adventure great, we hope to come back next year!!

After my husband died I was interesting recreating fond memories. South Haven was one. I was with my daughter and her family for a long weekend. Loved the location, decor, matresses and pillows. This home was just what we needed! We went to South Haven for my husband's 40th birthday celebration with 2 other couples. We walked to the BEAUTIFUL beach (1 block away) several times. It was a 5 minute drive to the lighthouse, and downtown shops and restaurants. The house was CLEAN, CUTE, COMFORTABLE, and WELL STOCKED! Everything you want in a house rental!

Great neighborhood and super close to the beach !!! We had a wonderful time with our family making steaks on the grill then playing games inside with plenty of room. Rented a golf cart the next day and ran around to the shops and bar/restaurants, everyone had a great time!!! You could walk to bars but it would be a few blocks. Such a nice town !!
