Perfect apartment for our group of six

This flat pleasantly surprised us all! As a group of six this place made for much better value than even hostel dorms in Helsinki, with the added bonus of privacy, spaciousness, a kitchen and lounge and of course the sauna. The location is great, far enough away from the busy centre but only a brief walk from multiple tram stops that can get you there quickly. Some good restaurants, cafes and bars in the area and supermarkets too. The kitchen was really well stocked with crockery, pans, some basic cooking ingredients and filters for the coffee machine. Check-in took a bit of familiarisation but worked well with the online door codes once we got there. All in all, couldn't recommend this place enough if travelling in a group.

Only complaint would be the hot temperature in the apartment during 25c days in Helsinki. Two fans were provided, but not enough to cool all the rooms through the night. Also be aware that if not left in the condition you arrived there, you will pay a cleaning fee.

Could do better.

Property was ok. Location was great and we really appreciated the private parking. Easy check-in.

It wasn’t clean when we arrived. There was dust and hair all over the floors and surfaces and some stains. Also toilet was dirty. Shower tap was dripping all the time. It was really hot since there was no air-conditioning.

More than decent accommodation in a growing suburban part of Helsinki

The beds and sofa were comfy. The kitchen was generally well appointed. The bathroom was nice and large. There was plenty of extra bedding, towels, etc. The balcony was spacious and perfect for soaking up afternoon/early evening sun. The area was quiet at night. The building is within a 5-10 min walk of two tram stops (and the ferry terminal) and a 10-15 min walk of a metro station. Supermarkets and decent eateries are close by. The park outside is lovely. WiFi worked fine.

The bedding was a little heavy and made for a slightly sweaty sleep each night, whereas the room itself was too cold to go without the duvet, so striking a balance was difficult. The apartment is generally showing signs of wear and tear, with loose elements, scuff marks and such. The shower curtain isn't long enough (lengthways or from top to bottom) so a lot of water splashes all over the bathroom. The TV was meant to offer YouTube but didn't seem to be connected to the internet. The main bedroom was a little small, and the second 'bedroom' lacks a door and half a wall and therefore a degree of privacy.

Big apartment with sauna near the shipyard

Quite big apartment with fully equipped kitchen - Sauna inside the apartment - Good wifi - Underground parking - Fully automatic check in and check out. Opening the door is done by providing a pass code via web page - Good contact with the landlord and really extensive guide how to use everything in the apartment

Superb

Excellent, clean apartment.

It wasn't clear that we'd have to pay an additional €70 for cleaning when we left. As a family with 2 very small children, we would not have been able to clean the place up ourselves, so it would have been nice if the cleaning protocol had been made clearer.

Good but expensive for what it offers

Nice balcony view, nice playground and neighborhood but far from the city center so we used the tram - we needed 20-30 minutes to get to the city center.

The sofa-bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Didn't like the fact that our linen for the sofa-bed for the fifth person wasn't ready and had to make on our own the sofa-bed from scratch. On the last day they gave us instructions for our check out and we were instructed to leave the apartment in the condition that it was when we checked in. We had to either clean the apartment and the dishes ourselves and take out our garbage etc. or pay for getting the apartment cleaned. Otherwise there would be a 250 euro fine! That's unacceptable, especially for the price that we paid and it's not in the terms on booking.com. The internet on the TV didn't work.

Perfect weekend in Helsinki!

The apartment is really big even with seven students, the kitchen has everything you need and the sauna is a real treat after a long day of walking through the city, the apartment is worth the price

We were seven people and there were only six chairs in the living room, but we just dragged the table to the couch so we had an additional space. With seven girls we needed an elaborate bathroom schedule because there was only one bathroom but that was definitely doable.

Location & amenities were good and suitable for our brief stay.

The automated check-in / door lock mechanism did not work and had to call the support, but got everything sorted out quickly for a spare key. The garage door is not suited for high vehicles MB Sprinter with a higher roof top), had to park on a nearby parking lot in the harbour.

Excellent choice to stay for big family. 2 bedrooms aparment with 2 sofa bed (single) with well equipped kitchen ware, so spacious with 2 big fridge & Large TV -Check in/out was excellent (with digital / online system -location near to tram line & 5 minutes walking distance -easy to go to city centre with good public transportation - K-Supermarket nearby approx 200m & very convinence -good view (West Port) & nice playground view below the apartment & with pleasant balcony -parking is provided & near lift -overall we have a pleasant & comfortable stay, very recommended Thank you to Management SleepWell Apartment Rio

1 WC all in one..sauna, shower, toilet, laundry area. Big family is better to have 1 seperate toilet..for emergency case!

Nice, bright apartment with a loggia and a great look over a nearby park. Well-equipped kitchenette, two toilets, sauna.

There are two bedrooms, however, one of them is not really a separate room - it has no door isolating it from the living room and just a small window to the corridor outside. Nonetheless, this is more than enough if there are 2 people staying.

Very well stay all included for family or friends

Place is very good and close to the city center. Apartment has all you need for a long stay. Kitchen equipment allows to cook for a family. There is table for dinner for four persons. Two bedrooms, two toilets provide privacy required. Shared area with big flat screen is cozy and comfortable. Big windows and a lot of light. Just one key to apartment, but you have codes to go in so no problem. All you on photos even better in reality. All essential information about the apartment is provided in advance via booking.com and email messages. Not far away from ferry station. Sauna in the apartment is a plus (didn't use).

Water in the shower runs on the floor, and every time we had shower there was lake in the bathroom (looks like drain is clogged). No instructions how to use sauna, and we were too lazy to search for one in the Internet. Hosts left form for us to fill in, I have no idea what was it about as it is in Suomi. We didn't get that as if form is required to be filled in by guests (and guests are foreigners), shouldn't it be in the language we and host both speak? There was also akward moment in the conversation with the host about this form. I felt very uncomfortable for being pushed to do translation to provide the answers to the form. We did not in the end, we had just two full days to enjoy Helsinki (which is absolutely awesome). I felt kind of passive aggression on me and exactly this thing made my stay at SleepWell not so perfect it could be.

Avoid when hot weather.

From September to May, when no danger of hot evenings and nights, and for a couple, the apartment can offer a very nice stay. For a city apartment, the open view is nice. Parking is excellent, just next to the lift. Just outside is a park which is nice if having children. The apartment managers answered to phone calls immediately and were very friendly.

My poor rating reflects the weather conditions. In August, apartment was very hot, afternoon/evening sun warms it up. It is not possible to open up windows on two sides, so no draft to cool down. Sleeping was nearly impossible. Lesser problem, the alcove had a strange window to the staircase corridor where there was a light through the night and the curtain didn't block. Alcove is also very small and separated from the kitchen only by curtain so impossible to do breakfast without waking up those in alcove. I would say that the apartment is ok for 2 (+1) but not for more except maybe for one night. Definitely not for 2 adults and three children, as proposed. Finally, the sewer in the bathroom was smelling a lot, possibly because the water lock had dried up. Running water helped for short while but the smell was back within an hour. So all in all, one of the worst stays.

A very enjoyable and comfortable stay.

The location was lovely and ideal for us as we were in helsinki for a wedding celebration and everyone stayed in the same area. There were restaurants and cafes close by so great.

To enter the apartment we needed internet to access the code which we didn't have upon arrival so that made access inconvenient. Perhaps another option available for people / seniors who aren't so tech savvy!

for a family of 5, I’d definitely book it again. kids loved the playground outside

location!! beautiful neighborhood, walking distance to the city the well equipped flat: from car park, sauna, washing machine, dishwasher to coffee, washing detergent etc everything was available

the fifth bed wasn’t prepared. wasn’t very clean at arrival especially under/around the 5th bed!! sone duvets smelled quite heavily of bo. Bed lights in 2nd bedroom were broken.

small adjustments in the kitchen and in the living room to be fixed due to the use of the house but which do not affect the stay. the broom to clean a little uncomfortable. everything else is perfect.

Apartment was clean and nice. Parking was easy and convenient. Sauna was a plus, gave a something extra to the stay. We enjoyed our stay.

All together we had a nice stay in a comfortable apartment.

The location and that the property had 1 1/2 bathroom + sauna.

That one of the bedrooms wasn´t a seperated from the livingroom. There were no babybed when we arrived, though we received comfirmation about this in advance. I also wish there had been more kitchen utensils e.g. stirrers and spatula
