Hotel Rantapuisto

Our stay at Hotel Rantapuisto was one of the most beautiful and memorable experiences of our trip to Helsinki. This is not just a hotel where you spend a night; it is a place that genuinely makes you slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature. The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. We were surrounded by beautiful forests and trees, with the sea right in front of us. Waking up to this scenery was simply magical and gave the whole stay a very special feeling. The breakfast was wonderful, and enjoying it surrounded by nature made the experience even better. We also had the opportunity to ride bicycles through the forest, which was a fun and refreshing experience and something different from the usual city activities. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. The only drawback is the hotel's distance from Helsinki city centre. Public transportation to and from the city can be somewhat difficult and time-consuming, especially if you plan to visit the city frequently. However, for us, this was a small price to pay for the peace, nature, fresh air, sea views, and sense of tranquillity that the hotel offers. If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the busy city, enjoy nature, and simply feel at peace, Hotel Rantapuisto is a wonderful choice. A place that leaves you with a feeling of peace long after you leave.

The room was dirty. There was used dental floss in the sink.

The view at this hotel is absolutely stunning! While it's a bit of a trek from central helsinki, it’s perfect for anyone looking to retreat into nature and enjoy a quiet escape. The hotel really embraces its natural surroundings, with the wood interiors and birdhouses nestled among the trees. The staff were truly helpful throughout our stay. Sara who was in charge of dining was especially friendly and welcoming, making our visit so much more enjoyable. Thank you for the lovely breakfast each morning—we loved the traditional Finnish pancakes!

The building does show its age in some areas and could benefit from a bit of maintenance and refurbishment. Additionally, for a king-size bed, we would have preferred a full king-sized duvet rather than two separate single duvets to help with comfortability.
