The setting is stunning and the building aesthetically beautiful with stunning simple design The staff couldn’t be any better Thoughtful helpful and nothing too much trouble Easy to leave any stress at the door The food is outstanding pretty well presented and absolutely delicious
A few minuses Although down a mile long country track it is very near the main road so a lot of traffic noise at certain times of the day The wardrobe didn’t have any long hanging (other rooms did) so a wall hook in the bedroom would have been helpful )
The shower could do with a shelf as getting all toiletries off the floor gets a bit harder as you get on a bit The water is very hot and if a thermostat was fitted to the system it would save a lot of water that is wasted trying to get the temp ok before you actually use the shower
None of these would put me off going back again as I really enjoyed being there

Food was excellent at dinner and breakfast. Interior design is lovely and a gorgeous building, nice views of country depending on where you are in hotel. Most of the staff were lovely.
Tucked just off a major road, room view overlooked the road - if you stay make sure to request a room at the back of the property, the front you get more road noise spoils the view. Pool was small and cold. Not much to do at the hotel, used as a crash pad to get to surrounding towns/villages. We didn’t get the warmest welcome or much info, but the rest of the staff throughout the stay were very nice. From what we saw online and from the listing looked like more of a retreat style stay outside the city but the yoga/massages will sit around €300 for a couple. Personally I would not recommend staying in the hotel but would certainly dine here as the food and service was great at dinner.
