After reading the comment section I was about to cancel and find another place. But I was positively surprised. Comment that homeless people sleep downstairs: there is a second gate directly after the door downstairs, so 2 locked doors and no place for anyone to get in or stay in. Very safe. Second comment was that it was run down, I stayed in 415 and it was really neat. Clean bathroom, furniture wasn't run down. Maybe it's not the most fashionable place, but still it had a colorful wall, a design lamp, you know, it's more than a white minimalistic budget IKEA room which I've found in apartments all over Berlin in the same budget. Another comment stating about the shower, it was actually amazing, no waterfalls. Another positive note was that the sleeping couch was already set with linen, pillows, etc. so I didn't have to do this myself. Fresh towels as well.
There is no mattress on the sleeping couch. That means a big lack of comfort, especially at the lower sections, where your legs are laying on a wooden panel. For a room with space for 5 people, there were only 2 mugs and 3 glasses. Luckily we were with 2.

A bit bigger than I expected, quite warm, and a nice balcony. Location is good with an easy walk to the river and great restaurants and shops, and is right across from the Hermannplatz station and bus stops.
It smelled like someone was smoking in the hall. I'm not sure if that was allowed or not, but I would have liked to have the option to be on a non-smoking floor.

Bed was very comfortable & it was easy to access as in the information proved was very clear.
My room smelt of smoke, and it needed a touch up some of the walls were dirty, only one coffee pod supplied yet there was a tray available for four pods. No air conditioning so I opened the windows & it was very noisy.
