This was a space for our mixed group of teens and adults before our mission week in Yakima, WA. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out for sleeping, socializing and eating. The outside of the home could use a little TLC, but the inside was a good fit for our group. Our teens enjoyed a dip in the lake as well. One thing to note: when arriving on the property, there are a few buildings so it was hard to determine which was the sleeping building. There is not a picture of the outside of the house on the VRBO website. It is the last building on the property (two story older home).

We had an absolutely amazing stay with our extended family over Thanksgiving weekend. The home was spacious and perfectly situated on countless acres of private land. It was perfect for gathering indoors or getting some fresh air outside. The home also sits on over 1000ft of private waterfront and walking down to the dock overlooking the lake was such a tranquil experience. Our host Eric was incredibly responsive to our questions and we had no issues during our stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Honestly, the place is kind of a wreck. Spider webs, dust, and weathered materials everywhere. Several guests got bug bites sleeping indoors, probably from the spiders. But the biggest issue was with the gazebo. We were told it was okay to utilize as part of our stay. My 62 year old father fell through on of the boards walking across it, hurting his knee and cutting his arm. The property owners knew they had rot since the owner fell through a different plank on our walkthrough a few months prior, which he promised was going to be taken care of because “there were a few other boards they needed to replace. When I reached out to Eric the owner about the incident his response was essentially “we have no idea what you’re talking about, things happen, we can’t keep track of who’s used our gazebo before.” Frankly, I think this is negligence from the owner. It is 100% their responsibility to keep tabs on their property, notice degradation, make repairs, and keep their guests safe.

We rented this home because our daughter was getting married at nearby Black Diamond Gardens. We hosted the whole women’s side of the bridal party, ten in all, along with my immediate family, another seven. With the help of Eric, we were able to get air mattresses and futons for everyone to sleep on a bed! The house is comfortable with quiet, a little spaces for a few to have a private conversation, yet large enough in the living room and downstairs theater room for larger gatherings. We had a hard time using their large screen video player, so you might want to check on which device to bring if you’re coming and really want to use that feature. Eric also worked with us to have enough dishware to post all of us at one time, although the two tables that have enough chairs are on separate floors. We think that the outdoor area needs a little tender loving care and updating, but the host was more than attentive to our every need!
