To start off, the door is all chipped and is need of painting. It took us up to 10 minutes to get into the unit each and every time. The door lock does not open easily, we had to play with the key until door would open. Once opened the smell of the condo was musty and moldy. In addition, immediately we could tell the unit is need of a paint job. We understand the building is older and that some units are in need of updates, but this unit is well beyond that. Cleanliness is pretty much a must! The chandelier in the dining room is very old, and there is no switch to operate it, only the metal prong for the switch. In addition, one of the dinette chairs was broken, which I discovered while sweeping. The oven is very outdated and knobs were broken off. Other appliances in the kitchen, such as the coffee pot, blender, toaster oven and microwave were old and stained. Did not feel comfortable using any of them. The microwave was so filthy and rusty, we requested a new one. Which was provided to us (after continuously asking for one) on the 4th day of our stay. Upon stepping on the carpet, it was obvious it had not been swept. We did not feel comfortable walking on it without our shoes. Not sure why they don’t install flooring and get rid of carpet, much more sanitary. Also, the furnace door was corroded in dust. It was very disgusting, which you will see in pictures. The bathrooms had mold on the ceramic tile and tubs were stained. In addition, in the one bathroom the drain in both the sink and the tub would not drain. Our quests had to stand in standing water while showering. Broken toilet paper holder and toilet seat in master bedroom bathroom. Finally, we had a toddler staying with us. We did not feel comfortable letting her down on the floor. Therefore, we put sheets on the floor so she could play. I personally cleaned the unit for 2 ½ hours. Using Lysol wipes and spraying Lysol. Also, after sweeping, the canister of the sweeper was fu

The view . That's about it.
Oh where do I start... First of all the pics on booking is not the condo we got. The building needs a good update. The room needs a good update, cleaning and paint job. There were no curtains in the living room. The bedroom curtains barely fit the windows. The sliding doors are beat up. Carpet felt dirty. Outlets in one bedroom sparked when you plugged anything in. Drains seemed clogged. Cookware was horrible. Again just felt dirty. To top it off we found the old mouse traps and poo from a previous post...so we thought. On our last night there guess what came out from under the refrigerator...you guessed it...A MOUSE.

The place was no what we anticipated from the pictures. It needs a total remodeling kitchen, bath,
The LR/Eating area carpet upon arrival was damp, the dishwasher was broken with fowl odor, crumbs on the refrigerator. There was NO space to put things in the kitchen, the bathroom had a cracked toilet, which was probably leaking as well. There was no curtains in the LR. One of the adults in the place is allergic to mold, so she was sick the entire week.

We had a fun time. Will totally do The Irene again, but not that Unit
I love the Irene itself. The balconies: one that faces the beach, one that faces Costal Hwy I love that!
The Unit itself. I feel like it was poorly maintained with a fair share of busted things
