Situated in Tofino, this charming cabin for $216 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Rustic and simplistic beauty define this lovingly built log cabin with breath-taking views of the open Pacific ocean. A meandering trail through old growth forest takes you to the doorstep of this warm and cosy private one bedroom cottage. There is a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests or a family of 4. Just a 10 min walk to beautiful Tonquin Beach and Park and just 5 minutes to the village of Tofino. Relax on the large, sun-drenched west facing cedar deck with book in hand while savouring the sights and sounds of the West Coast, a true delight to the senses. Equally exciting, experience winter storms, crashing waves, wind and invigorating weather on long solitary beach walks or, from the warm and cozy inside of Gold's cottage. The large oceanfront acreage is home to some of Tofino's last old growth trees. Please note: To provide a true retreat, there is NO WiFi at the cabin. Also, there is a gravel trail through the woods leading up to the Cabin and some stairs which may be difficult for those with mobility difficulties. A wheelbarrow is located at the beginning of the trail to assist in carrying your luggage and groceries from the car. During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. 3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays Please note: This property has a strict no pet rule Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals! Accidental Damage Protection: The occasional accident is bound to happen during your holiday. The ADP covers accidental damages of up to $1000, provided damages are reported to Tofino Vacation Rentals before your check-out in writing. The ADP is a mandatory fee of $10 per night that is included in your nightly rate. Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy from September through June and a 60 day policy from July through August. If you provide us with the 30 or 60 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus a $73.50 non-refundable processing fee). I loved staying in this cabin. I appreciated the minimal character of the cabin, no tv, no wifi, basic setup.. it fit in perfectly with the nature surrounding it. Would love to stay here again

Beautiful property. Your own little oasis in the heart of the town. Comfortable bed, undated bathroom. Wonderful welcome gift. Artisan soap, shampoo, coffee, tea… overall, exactly what we were looking for. We will return!!

we loved the place, the large balcony with incredible view was fantastic, and the whole thing was really lovely. But we were a little annoyed to find out there was no wi-fi only upon getting there (the info online says 'click here' for wi-fi info, which we assumed to mean passcode/etc, so we didn't do that until we'd arrived, and when we did click we found out it said 'no wifi'. Seems a bit like the owners were trying to hide that fact...) Since we were there a short period it was fine, but had we booked for longer we would have needed wifi and been pretty annoyed.

We had a great stay. Very close to town (very short walk). And at the same time a hideaway in a forrest. No Wifi was no problem, since cell coverage was ok. The cabin is perfectly cozy - even if you should hit a rainy day. One open wish remains: stairs or a path down to water level would be much appreciated.

Perfect spot to explore Tofino from. Right in town but you feel like you’re in the woods. The walk down the path to the front door is delightful and the ocean view is ideal for catching the sunset. Cannot recommend highly enough!

With unprecedented snow (for Tofino) and a 24hr power outage our trip turned into an unexpected adventure. With no heat source except electric, we are grateful to Tofino Vacation Rentals for providing us with an alternate rental for a few hours, with a propane fireplace, where we could warm up until the power came back on. After a warm lunch at the Wickinnish Inn, we roughed it out and even got some beach hikes in. This is our fifth consecutive winter stay at Golds Cottage. And the second time we’ve encountered significant snow and power outages. We love the rustic charm of Golds Cottage. But, the weather is changing in Tofino. This tiny cabin needs a propane heat source for stays year round.

When you arrive at Gold's cottage you have no idea what a secret hideaway this is. The walk up to the house is a discovery on its own. Once you get to the cottage it is a piece of paradise. At least to us. Maybe some equipment is a bit older but that is part of the charm of this house. Realy close to town but you feel like you'r in the middle of nowhere. We had a great stay en enjoyed every minute of the house and Tofino.

Tofino is amazing and so was this property. We would highly recommend renting a property with this company as they were accommodating and the property itself was well represented by the listing. Way better than staying in a hotel! Ocean-view deck was amazing and cabin was very cute and updated nicely to make sure the stay was comfortable.

The house is absolutely beautiful and, though a bit small, doesn’t feel like it. Everything worked well, furnace, stove, refrigerator, etc. And the view is beyond description. I’ll miss this place very much and hope to come back soon

The privacy of the property which is so close to the town is the magic. Having no indication of neighbors or ambient light allowed us to truly disconnect. We read and listened to the waves and winds, we slept deeply with the freshest of air. The booklet of former guests and their art as well as the history offered by the owners enhanced the charm. We combined a true retreat with shop and local coffee or pubs. How rarely can you do that without driving. Despite a desire for a fireplace or bbq, the setting and cozy mix of quaint and stylish comfort leave you feeling nestled in! Thank our lovely hosts for the bday wine and chocolates. This place is special.

This lovely place felt like it was hidden away from the world, but was only just a few minutes walk to town! the view from the deck was beautiful and was perfect for watching the sunset. We had an incredible time and can’t wait to come back.

Gold’s Cottage was the most beautiful lodging. It felt like we were secluded in forest, yet a close walk to restaurants. Comfy bed with a view of the Ocean & comfy living room furniture. Cozy, beautiful views & we were able to have a cloud free Sunset our first evening. Truly a magical getaway & I would return just to stay here again!

Absolutely perfect place to unwind and relax and yet just minutes to walk into Tofino. The cottage is roomy and comfortable and the deck is wonderful when it is not raining. A real find and highly recommended.
