To be welcomed and shown around a large spotless tasteful apartment that was walking distance to many restaurants was a delight. It was totally soundproof so quality bed linen and a comfortable bed meant the best sleep in 2 weeks. Excellent communication throughout our stay meant when we couldn’t get a taxi the hotel immediately assisted us. Very lucky to find this place.

The apartment was bright and spacious. Both bedrooms were of similar size (couples travelling together), two bathrooms were a real bonus. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds and bedding were lovely. Great position within Florence.

Unfortunately, the toilet in our room was not flushing properly. We notified the staff, but the issue was never properly resolved during our stay.
What really affected my rating, however, was what happened on our last day. After checking out, I urgently needed to use a toilet and explained to the receptionist that I was desperate. I didn’t want to go into personal medical details at the time, but I have a painful chronic bladder condition. Despite this, the receptionist was extremely inflexible: I was not allowed to use the staff toilet, nor was I offered or directed to any alternative nearby.
Having just been a paying guest, I found the complete lack of understanding or attempt to help quite upsetting. I appreciate that staff-only facilities may normally be restricted, but when someone explains that they urgently need a toilet, I would expect a basic level of compassion and reasonable assistance. Refusing access while offering no alternative in an emergency is very poor hospitality, and unfortunately this experience is what ultimately led me to lower my rating of the hotel.

There was no breakfast but the location was great - a 10 minute walk from the centre.
The couches an chairs in the living room were very uncomfortable.
