We were looking for a midway point to stop between Vermont and Philadelphia, and this checked so many boxes. Ample charging stations for our EV. Right off the highway easy in and out. What we didn't expect was such an elegant and cool remodeling of a mid-century modern icon, a friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast using all locally sourced ingredients.
If you're looking for scenic views or a pleasant walk into downtown New Haven or Yale, this is not your spot. The views are all very industrial.

Very unique (in a good way) hotel. Located right off I-95 with great soundproofing so you don't hear traffic. Cool technology controls the lights and shades. The front desk staff was very friendly.
The technology to control the room lighting and thermostat takes a few minutes to figure out.

Very clean and comfortable. Room is so modern and up to date . Very quiet as well !
The building didn't really look like a hotel but the inside is beautiful. I will be coming to stay again

The room was exceptionally spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The lighting controls were difficult to figure out, drove my traveling companion nuts figuring them out.
We didn't eat at the restaurant but used the snack station, VERY expensive! Didn't like that our room was sort of interior and the windows were frosted over. Odd design choice.

The proximity to Yale University is great.
I was not a fan of the electric controls for the window shades & blinds.

Love the decor and efficiency of this hotel, ie, power window shades in room and thermostat. Very appealing layout and decor. This is the 2nd Tapestry collection hotel I’ve stayed in within 2 weeks and the other one was excellent too.

Well done renovation; upscale, but not over the top.
Fair price.
Breakfast
Was like they had never done it before.

My daughter attends Yale so this is my go-to place to stay. I have stayed here a few times, and it never disappoints. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is extremely clean, and the rooms are quite comfortably appointed. My daughter and I both enjoyed a fabulous dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.

Nothing. Staff was very rude.
Hotel could not let us check in on our second room because the virtual credit card was 8 cents short. I could not check in for 4 hours until they resolved issue.

Fabulous building, very clean, good sized room, staff excellent, delicious breakfast, super location, brilliant shuttle service, free parking
Only minor details - shower was quite puny, not enough places to hang all the towels

We love this place. It is a treat staying in this historic, quirky, and lovingly restored mid-20th-century modern hotel. The rooms are tranquil and comfortable.

Nieuw hotel. Alles super schoon & netjes. Kamer was top.
Zat geen ontbijt bij. Ontbijt zelf was mega duur!

The room was nice and very clean. AC kept doing its own thing on the central consol, and controlling the lights became a chore, rather than just flicking a switch or turning a knob. But fancy nonetheless.
Front desk indifferent, not at all welcoming.
Had food in the evening, tasty, with nice service. What you would expect for a hotel that has 230 dollar standard rooms.
Breakfast on the other hand was the worst I have ever had to pay for. Was asked if I wanted tea or coffee as if it was complementary. I ask for camomille, turns out it’s 5 dollars + tip for A CUP of tea?! Had the overnight oats, with strawberries that had gone bad at least 3-4 days prior. Scooped them off cause I didnt want to get sick, the waiter noticed and asked if everything was ok? In Denmark people dont complain to the waiters, because it’s usually not their fault. Danes just dont come back. And that is what I will recommend others to do. Don’t come. Seems like a hotel, in which the owners never set foot, so nobody actually cares. Shame.

The location was excellent as it was close to the Yale campus where my daughter is attending. The room overlooking the Wharf was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the room including the bathroom was extremely well maintained and clean.
The front desk staff during check in was friendly but there could be a little more information on how to work the elevators with the room key. Fortunately, another guest helped, or we would have been stuck in the elevator. Once we understood how it worked, it was easy. Using the room key for the elevator was an extra layer of security for the guests, which was appreciated.

The room was clean and modern. There is a touchpad as you enter the room that controls the blinds, lights, and temperate of the room. Small details are what count sometimes, and having a bottle of liquid hand soap in the bathroom was a nice touch.
The staff in the restaurant were not friendly at breakfast, the tea was the worst tea I have ever had the displeasure of drinking in my life, and after one of the blackberries tasted like mold I could not bring myself to eat anymore. The room temperature only goes as low as 67°F, which is too warm for my liking when I sleep. Staff watched me struggle with the luggage cart that would not steer easily and offered no assistance.

The hotel itself is stunning and that made my stay an experience rather than simply a one night stopover.
The staff were exceptionally engaging and genuine - it didn’t feel as though they were going through the motions. We had some lovely conversations and interactions.

The rooms were very nice with high end amenities.
The location is close to the highway, but coming from downtown Nee Haven was a little trickier.
I don’t like that Hiltons don’t just have free WiFi guests can access. When someone is traveling, whether for business or pleasure, they want easily accessible internet without having to go through a bunch of extra steps. We pay enough for the stay, Wi-fi should be free.

Room was well equipped and comfortable, location was very convenient.
Staff was not friendly or helpful. I felt like I was inconveniencing them whenever I asked a question.

clean. updated. convenient.
the lights are a little difficult to manage in the room but once you get all the buttons it’s a nice perk.

Nice room and very comfortable beds. In contrast to the brutalist exterior 😉
surroundings not really appealing, as next to IKEA parking and highway (but good windows so no noise can be heard)

The hotel was all green solar powered. Rooms were large and nice. Staff was great.
Room fan was a bit difficult to control. Somewhat expensive, but it was graduation week at Yale. Not really amenable to walking into town.

The price for new haven Connecticut should’ve been adjusted

Beautiful restoration of architectural landmark. Rooms very sleek and new. Friendly and efficient staff. Lots of parking. Net Zero and all electric.
Location a bit remote from center of New Haven but shuttle available.
