The staff is very good and approachable. The cook, Asmaa, is very warm and welcoming and tries to accommodate all the guests during breakfast. She made us feel at home and her food was fresh, clean and tasty.
The location of the hotel was perfect, a 1 minute walk from Istiklal Avenue, close to all touristic places.
-I was double charged for my room both times the whole amount. First time was when I booked it on booking.com and the second time was on the day of check in at 14:00 before I arrive to the hotel. I don't know who this happened but of course it was very stressful. The hotel staff promised that they would refund me the next day. Of course, once they issue a refund, it takes time for it to reflect in my account. That can cause a lot of inconvenience for someone as it would affect the finances that they have prepared for the trip. You could be stranded in a foreign country with less money that you had arranged.
Eventually when the money was refund, it was not the full amount. I had lost all the bank fees related to currency exchange and international transfer. So because of their mistake, I lost money even after I was refunded.
-The noise level is so high at night, there were nearby parties that went on until 2 am 2 of our nights there and the place is not sound proof.
-The toilet seat is not comfortable at all, the internal bidet sprayer is sticking out of the toilet bowl that it would touch you if you sit down and of course it is not clean.
8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
The breakfast was really good, definitely the best we've had compared to the other two-star hotels we've stayed at. It was also a buffet, which was a nice bonus! The location is excellent, right in the heart of Taksim, making it easy to get around and explore the main tourist attractions.
The rooms could definitely benefit from better soundproofing. I had requested a room away from the street, but unfortunately, I was given one facing it. It was particularly noisy on Friday night, which made it difficult to sleep. That said, having a balcony was definitely a nice bonus!
