Overall we had a good stay and the unit was clean and up to date with all supplies needed in the kitchen. Even k cups and sugar were there for coffee. Right across the street is a little park which my son enjoyed. It was close to the highway and downtown Santa Monica so it was an easy drive anywhere we went. Parking on the street was not an issue as long as you read the signs and park on the opposite side at night. I had a question for the owner and they replied promptly. The couches were comfortable. The bed was comfortable but the frame was not sturdy so if you sleep with someone, every move makes a noise and moves the bed. It was unseasonably warm while we were there and there was no AC, which I believe should be made more apparent in the listing. The unit got up to over 90 degrees and we only had 2 portable fan units to keep us cool. I think it would have been unbearable for most people but we’re from Florida and regularly camp so we made do. Also the listing indicates that a sleeper sofa/futon was available but there was only an air mattress. As a result, my husband had to sleep on the couch the first night because my son had already gone to sleep on the bed by the time we figured that out and the couch was more comfortable than the air mattress for my husband. Overall it was a nice place for the price.

Also, a pot was under the sink to collect water drips.
We could not sleep there with windows open, and screen door opened-which would be needed to survive the heat. We did not feel safe. Host offered to fix; but honestly could not wait for them to repair extensive issues; just wanted comfortable place for vacation.
I have pictures and will share with VRBO if people stop hanging up on me when I call.
Had to go last minute to hotel. A nd struggling like like anything to get a refund.

This comfortable, private apartment is in a quiet, safe, convenient location. Street parking is easy to find. Host was very responsive.

The property owner said oh I guess I should have said there was no a/c but there’s nothing I can do. He then told me I should have asked if it had air conditioning before I booked it. We are from Texas where it gets hot so we don’t have buildings without air conditioning and assumed California was the same way. It was hotter inside here with the windows open and fans on than it was outside and it was not comfortable. There are no ceiling fans only portable ones.
Also it is nice inside but in a ghetto neighborhood. I didn’t feel great about it as we were walking up and am glad we decided to stay somewhere more safe.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

We live only a few miles from a major interstate, so we're used to constant background traffic sounds (almost sounds like rushing water) but if you're not, you may find this location a little noisy

I asked that Diana call me but she didn’t. He called back instead after presumably talking to her and explained where to park. Not a warm and fuzzy way to arrive - told you have the wrong phone number, and unable to speak with the host directly. Once we got checked in, our stay was very pleasant. It was a perfect location for us, and the neighborhood was quiet. One thing not mentioned in the listing is the unit isn’t air-conditioned. Fans are provided. It was unseasonably warm while we were there so it wasn’t ideal, but we managed. All in all a nice stay, but communication could have been better.

Very accessible to the major freeways, Santa Monica , UCLA, Getty Museum, Culver City and so on....
Older building with a remodeled interior.
Worked for us - we would definitely consider staying there again.

I had a great stay at this apartment for 4nights! The location was great and felt very safe. I really appreciated having a full kitchen (pots, pans, plates, cups, wine glasses, etc) and a comfy couch with a tv. Having parking permit was also another plus. The host is very organized, responsive, and friendly!
The apartment itself served it’s purpose but some things to consider are:
- the neighbors are pretty loud and yes, as other reviewers mentioned you can hear everything. But if you’re not home most of the time it’s not a bother
- I was working from home and the internet connection wasn’t great, so I ended up using my hotspot for some time
- The apartment could have been cleaner (dust in some places and some hair near the bathroom)
But overall, I had a fine stay and the host was again, very responsive and kind. She even let us check in a few hours early which really helped us.

When looking for a place to stay, I ran across this cute apartment. It had all the pictures of the inside which looked lovely. When arriving, the apartment complex wasn't what I expected. Perfect Apartment
We really enjoyed our stay in Santa Monica. The apartment was cozy but a perfect homebase for our family of 3. The location was easy to get around and there was a wonderful park across the street with a playground my daughter enjoyed. Parking was easy and always available. Check in and out were smooth, host was responsive and available if needed.

I liked the area and apartment was clean. I thought there was a sofabed, but their was an air mattress in the closet. The walls are a little thin, so you can hear the neighbors throughout the day. But other than that, everything worked for our needs.

We appreciated that the unit was light-filled and that more than adequate lighting was provided for when the sun goes down . Parking was readily available. Potential guests should be aware that this 2nd-floor unit is accessed by an exterior staircase. Diana was extremely responsive when we had a few questions during our stay and we felt that she was doing everything she could to provide us with a 5-star stay.

Weekend In LA
The space was lovely and just what we needed for our weekend stay in LA.
We had some issues re-accessing the key lock box after checking in. But Diana was quick to respond and had the on-site manager run up the extra unit key for us.
The location of the unit is great, in a quiet neighborhood close to transit and one of our favorite breakfast/coffee shops (Blueys).
I would recommend this place place to anyone looking for a nice, affordable stay in LA!
