Sunny Adobe Casita With Fireplace 1.2mi\/Plaza
About this house rental
Situated in Santa Fe, this lovely house for $150 per night is a great option for your next trip. My place is 1.2mi from the plaza in a conveniently located residential neighborhood. With its small, simple, Santa Fe style, you'll feel at home right away! The main room has a kiva fireplace & sleeper sofa as well as a full kitchen & small dining area. There is a separate bedroom with a closet & washer/dryer. The enclosed, private courtyard is perfect for kids & pets. This guesthouse is separate from, but next to my home where I live with my partner, our son, and two fuzzy dogs! As you walk in through the rustic red gate, you enter into an open, shady courtyard/small garden filled with lilac, an apricot tree, and wildflowers in the summer months. The front porch (in New Mexico it's called a portal) spans the length of the guesthouse & is very much a part of the living space. With it's lively rug & simple outdoor seating area, it is always hard to make yourself go inside & miss out on our incredible New Mexico weather! Two sets of french doors are meant to be thrown open to bring the outside in. The first set of doors opens to the main room with its traditional kiva fireplace, sleeper sofa, and full kitchen. The flat-screen TV is available for streaming & both Netflix & Amazon video services are included. The guesthouse has radiant floor heat and colored concrete floors, although the fireplace is often more than enough. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, & is stocked with pots, pans, & utensils. A small dining area with a handmade table & vintage chairs is perfect for dining, working, or games! A small washer/dryer unit is next to the bathroom which has a tub/shower combination. There is a pocket door hidden in the doorway between the bedroom & main room for privacy (or supervision if necessary!). The bedroom has a queen-size bed (built by Scott) along with a closet & hangers. The second set of French doors opens into this bedroom from the portal, so you can let the beautiful weather or just the sunshine in! Please keep in mind that Santa Fe has been living in drought conditions for many years, and as a result, we have some of the lowest water consumption per person in the US, with our per-person rates averaging 95 gallons per person per day, compared to the national average of 150! We therefore ask you to be mindful of your water use in our dry city (i.e. turn off the tap while brushing, etc...).

We arrived at Casita. Alll was exactly as advertised except they didn’t mention there was coffee and tea and a welcome bottle of wine. Place was clean and comfortable. There were recommendations for restaurants and we did 2 of them and they were great. Made our balloon festival experience perfect

We could not have found a nicer home away from home than this casita! Perfectly clean, adorable, and it was so nice to have access to a full kitchen and washer/dryer, especially traveling with kids! We loved being close to everything and the lovely outdoor area. I am shocked to have found such a great place to stay within our budget and we would definitely stay again if given the chance. Well worth a visit!

The location was great in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were able to walk to a few restaurants and had a short drive to the plaza. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Clean, comfortable and an awesome outdoor space to sit and enjoy Santa Fe weather. Highly recommended!

Came here to see the town, was a great experience, plenty to do, near many excellent restaurants. The adobe was incredible, located well and felt like home. Only downside was a creaking bed that was small for me, but I am a large guy. Would do it all over again.

This was a wonderful place to stay. From the very welcoming bottle of wine and snacks to the beautiful, private courtyard. Cute little Casita furnished in true Santa Fe style. Very pet friendly. We can't wait to return!

The hosts were very helpful in sharing information about nearby restaurants and answering questions. I loved the attention to detail with the turquoise wall, comforter, the artistic decor, and kiva. Enjoyed the garden patio with the scent of lilacs. Highly recommend walking to the Tune Up Cafe and chatting with the owner Jesus. We requested blue corn pancakes which they were able to make for us the next day. We bought a small painting off the wall by a local artist. The Railyard is a short walk and we enjoyed the Farmers Mkt, Artists' Mkt and indoor Culture Mkt on Saturdays. Tomasita's has good food and a mariachi band the night we were there. Also rec. Geronimo and Santa Fe Brewing.

The casita lived up to its online photos - artsy, clean and well-equipped. The courtyard was also lovely, although as another reviewer mentioned, you really have to watch your footing walking the path from the parking spot to your door. We really liked the quiet neighborhood, with its charming adobe-style houses. There’s an easy walk to a good cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would stay again!

Every time we stay here, we try to figure out how we could incorporate the things we love into our homes in Texas. Of course it can't be done so we'll just have to keep coming back. Unique little place in a great neighborhood, and our favorite restaurants are an easy walk.

We decided to stay a few days in Santa Fe on our way home after a month in Az. Our host responded right away with detailed instructions for locating the property etc The casita is charming with everything we needed for a short stay. The decor was perfect for a Southwest property and very cozy. We walked to Old Town and the Plaza easily. The property is easily accessible from the Interstate coming into town. Would stay again and hope to.

This casita was bigger than we expected with a large living/kitchen area, bedroom and nice bath. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and cookware and has the usual appliances (microwave, coffee pot, etc.). The hosts left us a welcome bottle of wine and some snacks! Lots of homey touches show this space was designed with a lot of care and thought. There is a nice patio; unfortunately it was too cold to use it when we were there. Easy to walk to several restaurants nearby.

Nice property and good location close to shops in downtown Santa Fe. The patio looked very nice, but it was too cold to enjoy this time. Would be very nice property in warm weather!

This place is great, Southwest architecture and heated floors! The enclosed courtyard makes a nice area for drinks and sunshine. The home is close enough to the old downtown to walk. We will come back

This is a lovely spot. Very secluded feel, lovely courtyard, and excellently appointed. The location is very close to wonderful amenities. It is airy and light with lots of skylights. We have family very neat, so I think we will return here!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! We were traveling from Austin to Colorado with our 12 year old granddaughter and 2 dogs. There was a nice private yard for our dogs.
Property was very close to nice restaurants and shopping. Weather permitting you could walk. We would love to stay here again!

This little bungalow was so cute! They decor had a very Southwestern vibe. It was clean and exactly as advertised. Great location for exploring Santa Fe. Parking was odd but we drive a truck. We made it work but if you are in a long bed or large truck, you might have to park on the street. Owner was quick to respond with questions.
Don’t miss getting a breakfast burrito at The Pantry with “Christmas sauce” and also a stuffed French toast.

Everything was great and the location was fantastic. The private yard was perfect for our older dog. We walked to the farmers market and bought a few gifts. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect stay
This was an adorable little house. It felt like such a little oasis with our own private fenced in yard. At the same time, it was only a half mile walk from the Railyard. It had everything we needed, and the host was super communicative and replied quickly to any messages. Would love to stay here again the next time we come through Santa Fe.

My daughter and I love Santa Fe. We love the shopping and the culture. The space was just what I wanted for sitting outside and the Santa Fe experience. Would have preferred a/c for the warm days (we’re from Texas!) and a bigger tv. Other than that, excellent space and hosts!
