LIVING AREAS This home has a welcoming mountain cabin feel and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for your group. A plush couch and love seat surround a 49in smart TV in the living room, where warm wood paneling gleams from floor to ceiling. Gather for a movie night after a day spent trekking the Rubicon Trail. KITCHEN & DINING The country kitchen has a gas range, double-basin sink, and ample counter space for meal prep. Natural wood cabinets hold every gadget and piece of cookware the chef in your group might need. When it's time to eat, gather at the six-person dining table, or head outside for an al fresco meal. BED & BATH The home sleeps up to seven guests in two upstairs bedrooms. Access the master bedroom through a privacy curtain (no door) to find a cozy full-size bed. The second bedroom has three twin-size beds and a full-size bed (also with no door). A walk-in shower can be found in the main-floor bathroom. OUTDOOR AREAS Step outside to your patio to dine among the pines at the six-person dining table. THE LOCATION South Lake Tahoe offers exceptional skiing in the winter and crystal-clear swimming in the summer months. The Heavenly gondola is a half-mile from your door (about a 9-minute walk). Before heading out for a hike or a paddle, fuel up with breakfast at Driftwood Cafe in 5 blocks. Ski Run Boat Company has all your rental needs less than 1 mile away. EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS Driveway parking for two vehicles, a washer/dryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi are provided. All leases require a minimum 31-day term. Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances. Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home. THE FINE PRINT Strict ordinances govern Tahoe vacation rentals. This home cannot be used for parties/weddings/receptions. Maximum allowable occupancy is 7 people and 2 cars, enforced/patrolled 24 hours/day (meaning even an afternoon BBQ with too many people is subject to citation/fine). Over-occupancy, excess vehicles, or excessive noise any time of day will result in guest fine up to $2,000 (in addition to fines assessed against the homeowner by local authorities). Failure to observe the NO PARTY policy may result in eviction. This home is in a sound-sensitive neighborhood and is not suitable for large/noisy groups. No smoking or pets are permitted. VHR# 010-447 Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

The house is small, but comfy for our family of 4 and everyone can enjoy one small bed. The only thing if really need to picky will be the bed might too small for the people who taller than 5’8” otherwise this is a nice and good place for family.

This cabin had a lot of charm. I brought my 3 boys aging 9-13 for Mother's day weekend and we had a blast. Very close to hiking, very short walk to the lake, and close to shops/foods. Will definitely visit again.

Great spot
Enjoyed almost everything about this property. The only fault I had was the internet was very weak. We had trouble streaming anything due to constant buffering and inability to maintain signal. Other than that, awesome spot. Still rate 5 stars

The Perfect Cabin
This amazing property has a log cabin feel with updated furniture and appliances. We were all surprised at how comfortable the ac window units made the upstairs for sleeping. Well equipped kitchen! The cabin may not be big but its perfectly comfortable for a group! 10/10.

Family Trip To Tahoe
Myself, my wife, and our two kids stayed here for 4 nights.
The location is great especially if you want to be close to the shops and the lake. We went shopping at a couple of grocery stores which were both a couple of miles from the property, it was nice that we could just go after a long day of hiking and the beach without venturing out too far from the cabin. The private beach which is part of the neighborhood was very busy so we skipped out on it and instead went to other public beaches which was bigger and less crowded. But if you don't mind the crowds it seems like a nice enough beach. The cabin itself is small but nice enough; its was clean (although the couch is really old and I am not sure you can clean it) and had more than enough room for the four of us. The stairs leading up to the bedroom is a hike, its pretty steep and I don't think the steps are all the same height. I don't have any knee or health problems and I had somewhat of a difficult time going up and down the stairs. If I had brought my parents, who are in their late sixties, I think they would have had a very difficult time using them.
Trying to get a hold of the property manager was a pain. We had issues with the lock and it took me three days and us being locked out to get a hold of someone on the phone. There is a general number you call and no matter what time you call they say they are experiencing high call volumes and have to navigate through their menus to try to connect to a live person. I tried several times to get on the phone with someone to fix the lock and it just took too long so I gave up. Finally, on our last day we got locked out and I had to wait more than 20 minutes on the phone to get on the line with somebody and they gave me the code to the lockbox with physical keys. With Vrbo I am used to having the property manager available right away and this experience was disappointing.
Overall, we loved Tahoe and had a great time.

Great! There were some minor issues, though, like the washing machine was leaking even though we hadn’t used it the first two days; the pilot light went out at the bottom heater in living room (we were able to relight it ourselves); battery died in remote to heater fireplace; a drying rack for washed dishes would be good to have there; and, the little nonstick frying pan in cupboard is scratched & worn (pieces would go in food cooked); also, refrigerator was wobbly & not stable. Other than that, cute cottage & quiet neighborhood. We loved our stay.

Nice, cute cottage! Location close to shopping areas. There are some things that would further improve the rental experience. Toilet kept clogging. There is a little water leak under washing machine. Pilot light went out in downstairs heater (which we were able to relight ourselves). Small frying pan is worn. A drying rack for dishes to dry would be a good idea to have. Also, there are lots of board games at this rental, and we were told there were none. But, loved our stay overall. Thank you!

Fantastic cabin perfect for a small family getaway to South Lake Tahoe. Easy access to the beach if you're going in the summer months (although it is not free - it will cost you $10 per person). TurnKey was pretty easy to work with but did take a while to respond to a couple inquires.

Choice Nugget by Tahoe Beach!!
This cabin is very quaint, quiet and nicely appointed for a rustic homey experience. Location in walking distance to Lakeside Beach, Casinos, fine and casual dining or an enjoyable stroll. Had a couple minor maintenance items that we reported conveniently with photo via text to property manager and received prompt acknowledgement. Only able to extend 3 stars for cleanliness due to long black head hairs discovered in a couple of towels, a number of dead flys in window sills and bad odor from garbage disposal. Lastly, all sleeping areas are on second level reached by a very steep stair case with one available bathroom downstairs. This could present a challenge for anyone with physical mobility limitations. With that said, let me be clear the cabin is very comfortable and we would stay here again without hesitation.

Perfect Location for South Lake Tahoe
This is a great cabin near the beaches, casinos, and everything you could want in a Tahoe Vacation. Everything is in walking distance. We booked this location because it offered free beach access to Lakeside Beach & Marina which is a privately held beach operated by the Lakeside water district. The first day the beach passes weren’t in the cabin, property manager dropped them off later in the day. When we went to use the passes Lakeside told us the property wasn’t located in the Lakeside water district and must have been purchased from one of the motels/lodged in the neighborhood and were not allowed to be used. Don’t let that affect your decision to rent this place it really is a perfect location, hopefully the listing agency takes care of this - they got back to me eventually and refunded accordingly.
