The house is in a great location, and has a view of the ocean. A path that leads to a walkway along the coast and goes to the harbor is right out the front door. The living area has very comfortable seating to chat and relax.
The place could use a little TLC. Faucets in the bathroom are corroded. The floorboards look dirty because they need painting. The third bedroom has no privacy. Hand soap in the two bathrooms and kitchen seems like a necessity. There were dead ants on a towel in the cupboard over the toilet. The plug by the sink outside the bathroom by the bunkbeds doesn’t work. The GFI wouldn’t reset. My phone and watch didn’t charged over night due to that.

Location, location, location! Waking up to the sunrise over the ocean and mountains was amazing. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or the nearby bars, restaurants, and stores.

The stay and place were great. The only problem was trying to get in due to the pad not unlocking the latch. Also, we had told someone, the day of, that the back screen has been split and beer bottles flowing over in the trash can. Other than that…. Wonderful, thank you!!

My friends and I wanted to treat ourselves after graduating college and we were more than pleased with our stay. The house was close to downtown, the zoo, and the wharf. All are within 10 minutes of the house by car. The house was also very close to a park, several beaches, restaurants, and grocery stores that were all within walking distance. The close proximity of everything was very convenient and only made this stay much more enjoyable. The house itself was very well maintained, has a great view of the ocean, and has plenty of space for people to sleep. One of my favorite things about this house is that there is a table outside on the patio with several chairs that are perfect for eating breakfast and feeling the cool breeze from the ocean. We will always remember our time in Santa Barbara and it could not have been possible without this great stay.

The house is divided into upper and lower halves, the kitchen being on the top level, the levels connected by a spiral staircase. Each half has its own sleeping quarters, living/family room and full bathroom. There is also a bunk bed in the lower floor, very handy when guests include children, as was the case for me. I liked how close it was to a natural foods store and restaurants, and a beach which usually would be accessible by descending many steps. During our stay, the closest stairway was being repaired and therefore closed to the public. It would’ve been nice to be closer to downtown (i.e., within easy walking distance) but there was no problem hopping into the car. Compared to other airbnb rentals I’ve been to, this one didn’t quite measure up. There were minor annoyances like not having face towels, no tissue paper, no extra dish towels except for the one already in the kitchen, blinds in the kitchen that was in need of repair. There are two coffee machines, one of them a Keurig type but there were no pods supplied. Future guests should take stock of what’s available in the kitchen, then go shopping to get what’s not provided (like sugar). A major annoyance was a smoke alarm that went off early one morning in the upstairs bedroom, which eventually turned itself off after 10 minutes. TurnKey, the property management company, was quick to respond to address these issues and answer questions.

Relaxing Trip
Planned to meet a friend in Santa Barbara and came across this listing. It looked good in pictures and location was great too, so booked it with little bit of concern if its actually like in pics.
Once we reached there, we really loved the place. Close to Vons, Beach, Quite place and house was quite neat and clean. Good amount of instructions to avoid any hassles, didnt have to contact them for anything as everything was in place and nicely arranged.
Overall had a great stay with Family and would love to book again in future.

This is a lovely property close to the ocean. It is spacious and has plenty of natural light. The deck is very enjoyable during the day. Unfortunately the property was not clean when we arrived. There was some miscommunication between the cleaning crew and the property manager (Turnkey) and they did not clean the property after the previous occupants left. The property manager was responsive when we contacted him and the cleaning crew came in the evening. But we were stressed out by the situation, especially because cleanliness is particularly important during the COVID pandemic Also, it is a little surprising that there is no dishwasher on the property.

This house was perfect for 6 women. The neighborhood was close to restaurants, grocery, and the beach! There was a small
Issue with the wifi, but it was addressed promptly. There are three outdoor sitting areas for gathering or privacy and decompressing. My only dislike was the small 5 cup coffee maker, but there was a keurig as well, so we had both going at the same time! 6 women=lots of coffee!! The beds were very very comfortable! Would definitely come back if we are ever in Santa Barbara again!

Within minutes of arrival, we heard scratching and squeaking noises from the wall-mounted HVAC unit in the living room. We also noticed debris on the television console and nearby on the floor under the wall unit. I texted the agency about this immediately and sent photos; the next day I received a call from them. I let them know that the scratching and squeaking was pretty constant. The second night at 2:30 in the morning, a rat dropped down from the HVAC unit in the upstairs bedroom, managed to scale the headboard of the bed where my elderly mother was sleeping, and dropped down on the pillow next to her bed. She saw another rat trying to escape the wall unit before she fled the room and closed the door behind her. We all decamped to the downstairs beds where we spent a sleepless night hearing all kinds of noises upstairs. I spent the next week negotiating with the agency for compensation. This put the dirty shower, moldy downstairs bedroom, non-functional washing machine, and failed entry lock on the door to the upstairs balcony all way down on the list of issues. Also pay attention to the lease terms for this house: Turnkey generates a lease with multiple tenants to get around Santa Barbara’s prohibition of short-term rentals -- an extremely shady practice. Highly recommend that you stay anywhere but here.

The house has an unusual lay-out, but it worked fine for us. Great neighborhood, nice view. The house was pretty clean except there was blood on the sheets on the downstairs sleeper Sofa. Also the tub/shower upstairs needs a non-slip mat to stand on, very slippery. The coffee maker needs to be larger (regular size). I would rent this place again. Thanks

My family really enjoyed this location for a short weekend getaway. A grocery store was a short walk away and the kitchen was stocked with any kitchen supplies you may need. Beach access is a few blocks away, so be prepared to walk a few blocks to get to the beach.

Great week in SB!
My family of 6 stayed at this property for a week for a wedding. This house is in a great location; close walk or drive to the beach, close to a great breakfast spot and grocery store, and very easy to get in and out of the main shopping areas. The property had all the amenities listed, plenty of kitchen items, bath, and beach towels. The multiple outdoor decks were very enjoyable as well! The neighborhood was pretty quiet and easy to get in and out of.
