Hotel was a great location, close to all the activities you’d expect for a tourist destination. Hotel was nice and clean, everything worked well, AC was cold. Our room really did have a window view but it was still ok. Don’t expect a lot of room in these old world hotels, owner said this place was built in the 1300-1400s! But of course it has been updated over the years. No elevator so be aware in case you have difficulties but we were on the first floor. Highly recommend the restaurant right behind the hotel El Vagon Restaurant. Peaceful and great service/food. Owner is Maurizio and he is very accommodating. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We used a private water taxi to and from the airport…very pricey but worth it as it dropped us off right at the hotel and picked us up there too. The convenience of not having to lug 3 bags and backpacks through town as well as up and down stairs was worth every penny 160 euros. As well as the ride was a great way to see Venice coming in. Take plenty of euros because the water taxis are supposed to take credit cards but they will give you an excuse their machine doesn’t work and ask for cash.
