First, I very rarely submit a review for a property. This place is an exceptional value. Your view of the Teatro Massimo pales in comparison to the frieze above your head in your bedroom from well over a century ago. It’s a masterpiece we marveled at our entire stay. Additionally, the host was incredible- walked us through the place like a 5 star hotel on check-in at midnight and offered us clean towels on our second day. You’re central to everything, just steps away. And the price cannot be beat, arguably underpriced in my opinion.
The vanity lighting in the bathroom could use some attention, it was a little dark.

Excellent stay at Al Massimo Piacere. Beautiful frescoes on ceilings and gorgeous marble floors. Furniture is comfortable and many period pieces. We were well aware that this is a 3rd floor walk up and enjoyed the views from this location. If you can't do 3 flights off stairs and bring your luggage, don't stay here. If you want modern, don't stay here. This apartment was built in the 1860's. Cafes at the entrance, shopping steps away.
Nothing, it was wonderful.
