Nice comfortable room and Short hop over to the amazing ortigia part of Syracuse. Small beach just around the corner too.

The room is exactly as pictured. A charming older building. Tiny balcony. Lovely view of the marina. Mini fridge. I liked the location...a bit away from the higher density tourist areas. Not far from the church of St Lucia of the sepulchre which holds the Caravaggio. It is a walk to the high tourist area (good for me...may not be for some) and that means also a walk to restaurants. Charming self serve breakfast room. I had no interaction with any staff although there was evidence that a maid came in daily and emptied garbage etc.
I found the rose perfume quite overpowering upon arrival. And I never figured out how to efficiently work the sun/security blind on the balcony door. It wasn't a huge problem for me but it might be more important further into summer.

Didn't meet any staff it would have been handy to have rundown on dining facilities on Arrival. We grabbed plates and a knives etc from dining room to use in pur room. Managed to message them in the end to get the ok. But this was only a minor issue this place is fantastic

It's a nice place, well located. Clean, and the staff is very friendly. It's a hostel where you have your own room with a bathroom and refrigerator, and a common area. Free parking on the street nearly.
I wasn't given the room with the view and large balcony that they offered me on the booking website. The sheets on the bed were too small, there was no way to keep them on. Something to heat food would be nice, but this is just advice.
