Room was spacious, clean and with ample supplies and linens and towels! Located right on the beach with bike rental and to go breakfast included!

The on-site amenities were so enjoyable and we loved our welcome gifts! Great hospitality and restaurant on the property as well. Breathtaking view

The room was clean and well maintained. The lanai was reasonably sized and overlooked the beack and courtyard. We did not use the pool but we did walk the area, and both the pool and grounds were in ver good condition.
5.0
We loved the location, the proximity to shops, restaurants, the beach etc. We also loved how quiet it was. So many times at the big resorts, there are a lot of screaming children in the pool and ISO was filled with lovely, friendly people all wanting to enjoy a peaceful paradise.
2.0
Poor food selection for the breakfast and VERY limited access to dining area. NO microwaves in rooms or available after dinning area closes. No sundry shop on site. Only a small refrigerator with sodas in lobby.
Price was not that much cheaper than a REAL resort.
Beach access is limited. Have to go around a sea wall to get to the beach that is only a few feet wide. NOT a swimming beach.
Pool is NOT heated and has limited umbrellas. I guess it was OK because there was never more than one couple using the pool at any given time during our stay.
You need to fire the desk staff and get people that have proper customer service skills that are happy to be working at the hotel. Maybe you need to pay them better.
I never saw staff greet guest with a smile. Seemed like they were put out by having to talk to guest or help them with anything.
Room did not even have a desk or table. It had a block of wood about the size of an end table and hard chairs.

older facility,good location

Property is tired. Curtains hanging off the hooks, old, room had very basic look/furnishings. Lawn chairs were broken, only 1 umbrella for the entire property. Grounds were very basic, not well kept.

Bare minimum

Morning yoga was great. Breakfast was underwhelming. 3 out 5 days no fruit available. If you like cereal and yogurt and granola bars…. You are good.
Band in the restaurant plays every night from 8 to 9 or 9:30… if you get a room over the restaurant

The place and furniture are falling apart

The staff who greeted us when we first walked on was very accommodating & friendly & her name is Brianna

The room was totally inappropriate and difficult to use with two A-frame type beams dominating the room. One made it impossible to get in on one side of the bed without climbing over the beam; the other angled directly across the closet door, making it virtually impossible to use. And the furnishings were placed oddly in such a way as to render them useless.

THe ocean view was lovely and the room was fine if a bit musty at times. The staff's attitude appeared to range from just tolerating guests to somewhat hostile. You have to REQUEST that the room be cleaned or it will not be cleaned. I dont think Id stay at the ISO again or recommend it.

That receptionist at day time when we checked in was terrible. She gave us a room at first that it’s not right. We are three of us , when we went to our room it’s only one bed and no view, I booked a 2 double beds and ocean view room, so we back to the lobby and told her that we only have one bed in the room she gave us. It could be all better. I hope she doesn’t treat others like she treated us. I wasn’t happy to our stay at all. I paid more almost $400 a night for unexpected stress and disappointment. SAD

You can’t beat the price with an ocean view like that. Great one night stay with the best sunrise view!

Location was great. Hotel was older, no elevator to get your luggage to 2nd 3rd floor. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. The free breakfast was sorely lacking

The setting is amazing. My room opened directly onto a lush lawn right on the ocean, so you can sleep with the windows open and hear the ocean. That’s the good. But now for the bad…I arrived at 10pm directly off a long flight. There is absolutely no signage to indicate that this is the ISO property. So after looking at my phone map again, I decided to wander around and see if I could find an office to check in at. I saw a woman locking up a door and asked where this place was. She was about to close up for the night but I got checked in. Not a welcoming vibe at all. I felt like I’d done something wrong. Anyway the room is like a motel 6, but with a beautiful view. Oh and the breakfast is nothing anyone wants to eat…plus there’s not even coffee other than from the sad coffee maker in the room. For the price point I definitely expected more…glad I only booked 1 night before our condo was available…

The bedroom electrical panel box was rusted all over. Tv only had 1 station that worked. Room smelled like old sweaty socks. we left for half a day and came back and my medication on the counter was emptied out. we had to put all hygiene and personal items in the trunk of the car expect clothes for the rest of the trip. Needless to say a huge inconvenience! not enough lawn chairs to set on. Gave the restaurant the coupon for the dip but they still charged us for it. Only good thing about this place is the office people where very nice.

The ocean view and accessibility is primary to the property. Wonderful pool, room, all was great!

Clean place with awesome staff. Nice little pool right on the beach. Centrally located in Historic Kapaa. I will be staying here again. Good value.

This is an affordable basic property. Perfect for our trip to shopping and beach walk.

room and hotel feels a bit outdated, had an old ac smell, did not encounter any bugs. pool is nice, the hotel is nothing fancy but acceptable if you can overlook the outdated halls and older rooms. no microwave in room (there is one you can use in the lobby until 10pm). Had a nice patio.

Perfect setting, everything you could want for the cost of the room . Beautiful pool, fire pit ,bikes.Right on the ocean. The staff was so nice .

Being right next to the ocean with a great view is this hotels biggest asset. Being built in the 1970's, it's showing it's age in some areas. The carpet, inside the rooms and outdoors, is old, as is the furnishings inside. The $25/day resort gives you free parking, access to bikes, weekday yoga at 7am, prepackaged danish or muffins(Otis Spunkmeyer brand), yogurt and cereal and milk, but no juice or coffee. You can make coffee in your room yourself, but there needs to be coffee down in the breakfast room. I wouldn't call this a traditional continental breakfast as I've experienced elsewhere, and after the first try, we skipped it. We usually went over to a nearby bakery, deli (Waipouli Deli has great breakfast, and we were the only tourist there), or Starbucks. The water bottle and water dispenser is nice, however, check your water by holding it up to the light as we saw lots of small white cloudy particles floating in the water so we stopped drinking it. The swimming pool is nice, but the absence of a hot tub is a drawback. If you're considering this hotel it's main attraction is the price(add the $25 day fee), then the central location, and being right on the ocean.

We loved the location. The bikes being available was great. The staff was very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful ocean view. Nothing elegant and everything we needed. Pool, bikes in the lobby to take a nice ride on the path by the water. Mellow place, friendly accommodating staff. Nice Thai food truck in very close walking distance and stores across the street. Really perfect. 15-20 min from the airport.

Good value for money but the free breakfast could have been better.

Great stay but the older women front desk staff were not very friendly. Won’t stay again for that. Customer service is everything.

Room was not ready and people in the lobby did not believed me; there was no instructions to the wifi and the lobby people said the have it to me which they did not.

TV didn’t work.
“Resort Fee” ($25+ tax) was a surprise and not a welcome one.
Big tents were set up in the direct path of our ocean view. That was quite disappointing

When we checked in we were charged an additional $29.95 (resort fee). I have no idea what this was for.

The grounds were very well manicured and the property faces the ocean. The entrance could be a little prettier but is ok. The building is older and could use some updating, but was in ok shape. There is a pool, nothing fancy, but is appeared clean. The close beach access in walking distance is very nice. At the front desk, there are a few loaner bicycles which was a nice fun option. The rooms are decent...our room the placement of the furniture was a bit odd. Our view was mostly obstructed by a palm tree which was disappointing because all the other rooms appeared to have clear views of the water and we were there a week. They do not have daily room cleaning unless you request to be serviced. I was ok with that. Our room was above the Bull Shed Restaurant which opens daily for dinner service only. We ate there several times, the food was great.

Fantastic view from room. Close to water. Fall asleep to sound of waves.

Nice place, friendly staff

The view of the ocean was incredible from my room and also if you walked out. Rihanna is the best, always smiling and welcoming however the rest of the staff, not really. Thank goodness, I’m a clean person so did my own cleaning and bed making. Not once were items replaced. I had brought coffee so was able to make my own. You should not have to ask for it, it should be done automatically. I am 79 yrs old and had to bring my own bag up a flight of stairs. Good thing I was on the second level. I would not return nor recommend this facility.

Beautiful beachfront views! We stayed one night before driving north. Quiet after the restaurant closes.Good soundproofing. We didn't hear the neighbors and slept well. Floor at entrance to room was VERY slippery. I'm sure the thinking was to keep sand to a minimum in the room but it was quite dangerous! Be careful! Grab n go breakfast was decent. Nice to take back to our room and enjoy on the balcony or easy to take on the road. The entrance to property was a bit hard to find at night. Lights on sign would help and there is NO sign on the building itself. Just a sign for the restaurant. A little confusing after a long day of travel! Water dispenser in lobby was nice. Free water bottle is a great idea but quality was poor and smelled plasticy. We left those unused. Overall, great stay for a night or two.
