The location was great and the room was clean and comfortable. A fan was supplied and the windows for cooling off at night.
We visited during a heat wave and there was no air conditioning. Even the gym did not have this. It was 28C in the gym at 0700.

The room was very clean, quiet and had everything we needed! Bed comfortable.
I loved the great choice at breakfast and the 2 very friendly ladies assisting, tidying and serving, e.g. a fantastic 3 min egg - always with a friendly smile! Thank you! :)
Very nice touch that the hotel remembered my birthday, had written a lovely card and gifted me with some nice Swiss chocolate as well! Thank you! :)
We went to the Basel Tattoo, which is in comfortable walking distance along a pretty river walk!

Close to metro and the old town

The location was great, close to a tram stop with lots of easy links to other places in the city. It was also right by a stretch of the river where there is a rocky beach that people relax at and swoosh in the river from. And next to that was also a stretch of outdoor bars to watch the swimmers go by and enjoy the evening at. Staff all very nice.
No air-conditioning meant the room was unbearably hot. Sleeping was very difficult, because with the windows open the traffic noise was significant all night and there were bright lights outside. If we hadn't been there during a 35+ degree heatwave it would have been absolutely fine and lovely, as otherwise it was a great hotel in a great location.
