Visited with my parents as a stopover on a long journey home from holiday. I was very impressed with every aspect of the hotel and can understand why my parents, who have stayed here on a number of previous occasions, like it so much and why they keep returning. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming and are a credit to the company. We dined in the restaurant which has a good, varied menu, reasonably priced and enjoyed our meal. We also enjoyed a drink in the bar, chatting with other guests who, as first time visitors, were also very impressed with the hotel. Breakfast was great too!

Having stayed at The Woodside on five previous occasions, we knew that we would like everything about the hotel. Our room was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the staff, as always, were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We dined in the restaurant which has a good, varied menu and opted for the Sunday Roast, which was excellent and very reasonably priced. We visited this time with our adult son, who was as impressed with the hotel as we have always been.
There is nothing we dislike about The Woodside, it's a lovely hotel, one of our favourites and one that we know we will visit whenever we can. Highly recommended!
