The hotel was in the perfect position for our stop over
The room was comfortable and clean
We thought it was a little expensive and the room we were given had a view of a fence which was not the loch or mountain view we expected. Had we been staying longer than one night we would have asked for an alternative room.
The room did not provide all the facilties indicated ie coffee machine
One of the reasons for booking this hotel was that it had a pool - we did not use it in the end as it cost extra which is not indicated on Booking.com

Me and my partner both had steak pie and the stew was good but not much taste off it. Also had a desert and the ball of ice cream was terrible was no effort into the scoop wasn’t even half a scoop so 0/10 for that and 3/10 for the taste of steak pie.
Flavour of the gravy in the speak pie and and full scoop of ice cream. Also may I add the quality of the service the staff I mean 3/10, no back ground music for a bit of ambience, if I’m honest it feels like the place has dropped its standards , jacuzzi not working and sauna closing at 8pm that’s a big early, so overall I would rate it 4/10, I’ve being a visitor of the estate for decades and I seem a change!!

Nice location
Was far too hot and uncomfortable even with a cooling unit in the room woke up with dry throat !!
