Pool was outstanding , very clean property , staff was top and friendly

The hotel is beautiful, the location is perfect, it was extremely clean, the bed was awesome, smart tv on the room and courtesy water and coffee. The service was super friendly at all time.
We paid more for a room with balcony, it was not worth it at all. The balcony was next to the back street of the hotel which was very noisy and people from the building in front could see you. I’m attaching a video for reference.
Also a small detail, we were told during check in that we were getting something special since we were celebrating our anniversary but nothing ever happened.
Finally, on Friday night there was an event on the pool that was apparently fully reserved by external people (not guests) - we didn’t know and took one space by the pool and were removed. I would have loved to enjoy that activity or at least to be told such event existed so I didn’t have to be taken out like we did something wrong.

Pool, breakfast and gym are great
Clean hotel, comfortable bed
Horrible noisy night, be sure not to book a room that faces the main street on the other end of the hotel. We were woken op twice in the middle of the night by a noisy (garbage?) truck and some kind of racecar. The sound isolation is terrible.
Lights and ventilation in the bathroom came on by motion and wouldn’t turn off, not really handy in the night
Some of the staff is great, but also some staff are not. We had some bad experiences when we asked to take the allergy of my girlfriend into account. Twice we were told that something on the menu was suitable for her allergy, but if we insisted on checking with the kitchen it wasn’t. That is lazy and dangerous. But we also had one really good experience at breakfast, it depends on the staff.
