Really nice hotel, great rooms and big bed. The hotel is an adult only hotel and had a great mix between all ages. The breakfast was okish, not spectacular but was doing the job. Pool and view are amazing. As well the live piano music during breakfast.
During the breakfast there was a guy with a big bird. This was to take a picture with or to look at. However it was really un appropriate, the bird was caged and really did not bring any additional value to te guest experience.

The staff were all amazing. So friendly and helpful. Their care and attention was fabulous. Very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast and such lovely views.

Lovely hotel with spectacular views of Funchal and the ocean. Spacious and well decorated rooms. Huge beds. The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were fantastic.

Hotel in great location overlooking the city with beautiful gardens. Dinner menu, whilst not a vast choice was good quality and enjoyable.
The hotel itself is very shabby, and not in a 'chic' way with threadbare carpets in public areas and dated rooms. Staff were almost none existent. Didn't use the pool as the electronic pool cleaner was in operation - and this was around 11am with no staff to be seen. The gym is in need of some attention with rusty and damaged equipment. Staff in the restaurant were not on the ball, had to find a member of staff and tell them when items at breakfast had run out - this happened several times, and evening staff clearly did not have server training as would lean across table when we were eating, with one particular member of staff smelling quite "ripe".
