The staff was very friendly and polite, and the location was incredibly convenient - just a 10-minute walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace.
We booked two rooms for four people, but unfortunately, both rooms were considerably below the expected standard of cleanliness and maintenance.
There was a significant amount of black mould in the showers, as well as an unpleasant smell coming from the toilets and bathrooms. The towels were not changed at all during our stay, and some of them were visibly stained. Overall, both rooms felt old, poorly maintained, and in need of a thorough cleaning and refurbishment.
That said, we appreciate that the price we paid was very reasonable. However, regardless of the price of a hotel, we believe that a basic and acceptable standard of cleanliness and hygiene should always be maintained.
