The large, southern-style veranda looks out across an expansive landscape and a low, lava rock wall to the Pacific Ocean. This is the perfect vantage point to enjoy spectacular island sunsets.
Step through French doors to a living room lavishly decorated with antique furniture. The separate dining room is a luxurious amenity perfect for big families. A large, eat-in kitchen opens onto a deck overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens.

My co-workers and I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. My one buddy is a chef and fixed breakfast and dinner each day. Definitely one of my favorite work trips that I’ve been on. Really liked the compressed timeline to get to work at Barking Sands this week. House was well maintained and clean. I would recommend adding the fact that this property does not have air conditioning…I didn’t really think about that until arrival…a bit warm but tolerable. Maybe have more ceiling fans.

We had an amazing time at the Pakala Plantation house. Our party of seven adults had plenty of space, and we cooked many delicious meals in the massive kitchen. We spent our early mornings and evenings hanging out on the comfy front porch furniture.

Both the property and location are amazing . The Beach and estate grounds are fantastic . The house is what it's described as. It's old an full of charm . It reminds me of the old farm houses I grew up in . If you need granite counter tops and TV's in every room and modern everywhere this isn't for you . If you want an amazing property , great location and perfect house to spend time with family friends while sitting out on the most amazing deck I've ever seen , this is your spot .
