Elar Hotel

The service was really good. All the staff were very friendly and would say hi everytime they saw you and they’ve ask how you’re doing, which I found very polite. The room was stunning, some of the best views I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. And the breakfast included was amazing. Very good options of breakfast foods.

Maybe how hard it was to find. On the first day, I spent a good amount of times going to other hotels to ask where Elar hotel was. It wasn’t accurate on the maps and there were no instructions communicated to me either. For example, they could’ve said that it’s next to Epirus hotel. Which would’ve been really helpful but apart from that I can’t complain.

Very disappointing experience and certainly not what I would expect from a hotel advertised as 4-star. Staff were smoking at the table next to us while we were waiting to order breakfast, which was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. Service throughout our stay was incredibly slow, and breakfast was basic, repetitive and exactly the same every day. The room itself also fell well below expectations. There was no coffee machine, the air conditioning did not work properly, and there was virtually no soundproofing. Our room was directly above the bar, making it extremely noisy even with the doors completely closed. More concerningly, using one of the sockets in our room caused an electrical short circuit in the hotel twice. We were simply told not to use that particular socket, which is hardly an acceptable solution in a 4-star property. There is also no parking at the property, despite what guests might reasonably expect. The advertised private beach was overcrowded, pebbly and the water was not particularly clear or inviting. Overall, the combination of poor service, noise, inadequate facilities, electrical issues and an underwhelming beach made this a very disappointing stay. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel and do not feel it delivers anything close to a 4-star experience.
