If you are looking for a really quiet and tranquil place - this is it. It's completely off the beaten path, small place with not too many rooms so it's not massively busy. Restaurant on site was excellent - definitely book the dinner package. Portions for both dinner and breakfast were very generous. Facilities were lovely, outside pool was great and so was the indoor swimming pool with a little terrace. Room was adorable, very cottage core. Perfect place to relax.
They did run out of some items on the menu for dinner so make sure you go early.

Location was beautiful, room overlooking rolling countryside. Room size was great. Appreciated large and very comfortable bed. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Hot stone massage with Gillian was out of this world, and definitely to be recommended!! Breakfast was interesting and plentiful. This was served at the table. The menu choice was very small, but I assume that special requests could have been made, if necessary, if they didn't include cereals or jam etc..
I would not have booked this place if I had realised that it was not a 'normal' (albeit highly priced) hotel. I feel it is necessary to make it clear to potential guests that this is a health retreat. There is no television in the room, no black tea or coffee (but rather wellness, herbal teas - with no sugar, and of course no milk). There is an alcohol ban throughout the whole estate, so no chance of a cosy drink at the bar in the evening, or on the balcony. Breakfast only includes one single drink. Any further drinks need to be paid for. The bathroom was fine but since it had a large window looking out into the room, there was truly no privacy for anyone sitting on the toilet or having a shower. Perhaps I didn't locate the blind. The spa was lacking an inside relaxation area. There was no place (inside), apart from a couple of plastic garden chairs, to chill out between swims, and using the steam room, the 'jacuzzi beds' or the sauna. The place has great potential, but a few things need to be thought through.
