Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a long and important tradition which is well preserved. Elegant surroundings and a picturesque situation above the city, with a pleasant walk down through the gardens to the lower end of Pultney Street.
It might be helpful to inform people of the parking charges before they book. It’s quite pricey, but in the context of high prices in the city car parks, and indeed the availability of places, it’s not a bad deal overall at around £15 for 24 hours. So if you get your timings right, it can be pretty good. Parking is managed for the hotel by another company.

Staff were helpful, friendly and cheerful & the room itself was spacial and had everything you'd expect
The hairdryer power/heat was my only negative, it was terrible and I couldnt get my hair dried properly.

The room wasnt to bad even tho we booked a double then was told they sold our double room for an "upgrade" room which turned out to be a twin room then when we said we just wanted the double room they told us they was all sold out which wasnt true as we saw loads of empty double rooms available
The spa needs a big make over and our room did broken desk hairdryer not working. The spa had broken tiles on the seats and floor the heated pool/hot tub definitely needed a make over looked dirty and broken.
