The room was lovely, facilities great and the pub was cosy and food delicious.
The welcome and service from the person who seemed to be in charge was frosty, like they really didn’t want to be there, which was a shame because the rest of the staff were friendly and everything else was great. We all have bad days but this was consistent throughout the stay which was a shame.

The location was good and the availability of parking was also useful.
The room met all basic requirements. Not a lot of thought had been put into its usability. The bedroom was upstairs, and the bathroom was downstairs, not ideal if you need to go to the toilet during the night. There were no surfaces upstairs to put things, except for the bedside cupboards, which were already occupied by lamps. The breakfast was basic and did not reflect the perceived quality of the establishment. The restaurant, a public house, offered a limited overpriced menu, the service was abysmal we needed to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper.
