The room was impeccably clean and very modern. It had all the basics and a kitchenette for self catering and there is a great mini supermarket 5 mins up the road with a very good selection of groceries and essentials. There was also plenty of space for parking. Kalathas beach is a 15 mins walk down the hill and is a lovely beach with showers and a very good food van. There is also a nice fish restaurant on the way to the beach with great sunset views. There are some fantastic tavernas a short 10 mins drive away and Chania old town is about a 20-25min drive. The hotel is in a very quiet area away from the hustle and bustle so is very relaxing. The hotel is also close to the airport with some beautiful beaches and monasteries a short drive away. The owners are also very friendly.
Everything was great. The hotel is under the flight path from the airport so there is an occasional plane flying over but it’s very occasional and not through the night.
