Great location in Echoland with private feel. We spent a long weekend at Vive for our second trip to Hakuba. The location is excellent, 2 minutes walk to the high street full of spots for breakfast and restaurants / bars for the evening. Also 2 minutes walk to the c’mon park food trucks. End of the road is the bus stop for the valley shuttle bus and onsite parking if driving. Rooms were new with big windows, comfy bed and large hot shower. Used the private onsen one evening as well, which is a cool experience. They have a restaurant on-site that we didn’t try but looked like a nice spot with good atmosphere on the weekend. One booking issue was quickly resolved by the owner, which was much appreciated and I would recommend anyone to stay at Vive looking for a relaxed vibe in one of the best (of many) spots in Hakuba.

Location
Customer service was limited, housekeeping was poor, no change of linen, replacement of consumables. Dry room small and disorganised. Manager did assist with some basic items I.e. a second chair, a small table and hooks for towels.
