Everything! Staying at AzoreanStar made our first trip to the Azores absolutely unforgettable. As an extremely picky traveler who spent hours weighing 5-star hotels against Airbnbs, I can confidently say this stay exceeded all expectations—photos and reviews don't even do it justice!
Communication with Chris was seamless from start to finish. Upon our early morning arrival, Chris and Marta greeted us like family and even had food waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The property itself is serene and pristine. The room is spacious, spotlessly clean, bright, and filled with tasteful details reflecting the hosts' care, while the courtyard offers a charming, quiet retreat. After a full day out in nature, returning to such a peaceful, comfortable space was the highlight of our evenings. The bed and sofa were remarkably comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home.
The location is unbeatable—just minutes on foot to the beach and centrally located for exploring any where on the island.
Thank you, Marta and Chris, for your warmth and hospitality. You have been so patient and accommodating during our stay. No big-name hotel could ever compete with this experience!

We absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were incredibly kind, helpful and attentive and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. We were greeted with food and drinks, everything was always spotlessly clean, and we even received fresh coffee capsules every day. They also helped us with our laundry, which was incredibly kind.
The location was perfect for us: a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and a great central base for exploring São Miguel by car. We could easily reach different parts of the island without staying directly in busy Ponta Delgada.
We had absolutely no problems during our stay and felt completely comfortable and well looked after. We were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to São Miguel 😊

The owners were genuinely caring and quick to help with anything we needed. The apartment was spotless on arrival and stayed that way, and everything we needed was already provided - nothing missing, nothing we had to go out and buy. After 10 nights it still felt like a comfortable home base rather than just a place to sleep. Great location for exploring São Miguel by car.
