Very friendly kind helpful amazing staff especially Kate, George, Nika at the front desk who assisted us with luggage, information and getting us rooms together as well as Salome and her fantastic breakfast team. We loved the view of Mt. Kazbek from the balcony which was very spacious with two chairs. We loved the breakfast, many different items and variety and very fresh. I especially loved the scrambled eggs , home made yogurt and coffee latte and real juice , best in Georgia! We loved the very comfortable beds and pillows , crisp sheets and bathroom amenities. The welcome basket of dried fruits and walnuts and complimentary water was a very nice touch. We really appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. And the furniture and decor is beautiful.
The hotel has a lot of great potential however first of all the rooms were quite stuffy and hot. I can’t even imagine staying there in the summer. It’s really too bad that when “designing” the Lens Design Hotel that air conditioning wasn’t added as that would really make a huge difference and give this new hotel an edge over others. The only way to cool the rooms off was to open the balcony door but then you had bugs and noise to deal with.
Second , the parking is an issue. The ramp leading up to the entrance door and lobby should only be used for unloading and loading. It was a problem when there were vehicles that were parked there for long periods of time especially double parked. The area is quite hilly , so parking is difficult. A recommendation would be to pave that area just below for designated parking so that guests have an easier place to park.
Minor improvements can be made such as adding hair conditioner to the bathroom amenities, luggage racks in each room for suitcases, luggage carts for transporting luggage to and from rooms. I did appreciate that Kate immediately took these recommendations to heart and let the owners know.

This is actually the gem of Kazbegi. Location is undeniably the best you can have, with a superb view of the Mount Kazbegi and Gergeti Trinity Church. Still within walking distance of the footsteps of the mountain so that you can just easily start your hiking or brisk walk around Stepantsminda. Room was super comfy, they are still new and some facilities like the wellness area and sky lounge are yet to be completed, but for us this is best enough to spend our 25th anniversary with a view. Room comes with balcony where you can spend your morning looking over the priceless view of Caucasus. Breakfast spread was splendid with plenty of choices, in fact one of the mornings they did have an Asian style-fried-rice, good coffee, as well as local Georgian breakfast choices that we enjoyed much. We loved the smell of the hotel, must be from the woods I believed. Staff were super friendly, shout out to Nina at the front desk, a lovely lady who guided us with plenty of tips to occupy ourselves in Stepantsminda such as a panoramic coffee shop, and a nice place to have a photo with breathtaking view. We went for a quadbike adventure, arranged by the hotel, this is amongst things that I missed a lot and one of the pull factors for us to return back. Trails taken throughout the area up to the footsteps of Mount Elias, breathtaking view from the monastery and return, was an unforgettable moment. Upon breakfast on our last day, we took a stroll around the area, right up to the trail to the waterfall, something that we will further explore on our next visit. If you have a car, just drive down to Stepantsminda and plenty of restaurant available.

This is an amazing property with excellent staff, comfortable and luxury sleeping facilities. the view is a million dollar!. It is located next to the best restaurant in Kazbegi, safe parking around the property; and very accomodating managemnt and responsive staff. definitly will return!
