We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the window was absolutely amazing and made the stay truly special. The breakfast was very generous, with a great variety of food to choose from. It was also very quiet at night, so we had a peaceful and comfortable sleep. Definitely a place we would recommend!

We booked the room for the views towards Mount Kazbegi - and we weren’t disappointed! From Room 303’s balcony we had a direct view towards both Kazbegi and Gergeti Church. We could also see both up and down the Terek valley in the direction of both the Russian border and Kobi. We could even see the massive rock wall to the east at the front of the hotel by looking over the end of the balcony. Amazing!

We enjoyed the location and cozy atmosphere. The views from the room were a real highlight, and breakfast was fresh with a good variety of options. Parking is available, and there are some great authentic restaurants nearby — Lunch by Maia is especially recommended.
The property is not as shown in the Booking.com photos, and overall it feels overpriced for what is offered in this kind of mountain area. The rooms are basic, the furniture is low quality, beds are uncomfortable, and essential amenities such as a mirror and mini-fridge are missing. (Also no tissue box in room or bed side lamp, the main roof lights were not working, only side wall).
Communication was also difficult as reception does not speak English, which made simple requests challenging. At times during breakfast service, the staff member appeared visibly tense and seemed to get frustrated, including talking to herself while managing guests.
She seemed to be running the hotel on her own, so despite really trying to be helpful, it’s clear that she was overwhelmed.
We also experienced inconvenience with payment, as the card machine was not working despite being advertised as available on booking.com and on the reception area.
