I've stayed at several hostels over the years, and this is one of the best ones. It may very well be the best one. The beds are full twin size beds, none of them are bunk beds (that I've seen), the mattresses are all comfortable, the air conditioning Works, which is a refreshing surprise, the refrigerators are large and not stuffed to the max with food, the wifi is fast, and best of all, the house is Quiet, with no loud parties or guests arguing late at night. Also, no bed bugs or problems with flies and mosquitoes, which is very surprising, as this is mosquito season.
The front gate sticks and is difficult to open; this can be fixed. The parking in the neighborhood is very tight, and you may not find parking on the street very easily. The living room and kitchen are not air conditioned, but if they put a large box fan in each of the windows, I think that would help bring the room temperature down.

I very much liked the WELCOME. Two strong polite handsome young men HELPED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WITH LUGGAGE.. STORE PACKAGES. AND BAGGAGE!.. Straight to room. (I haven't received this luxury at ANY of my previous motel/hotel stays this year. But rather lots of fluff, puff, pomp and circumstance , VERY LITTLE COURTESY AND ALMOST ZERO EMPATHY FOR STRUGGLING WOMEN WITH MULTIPLE BAGS,!!!) For this reason alone! - Tho there are other positives - We are continuing our stay possibly until renovation of our place is completed in several more days.
I would also like to extend my sincere THANKS to the Manager, a tall handsome kind and casual gentleman who made sure life was QUIET and COMFORTABLE. So much so.. We passed out from exhaustion and slept the entire day away; NO INTERRUPTING. NO BANGING ON DOORS. NO DEMAND FOR MONEY.. KEYS.. HOUSEKEEPING... DETAILS.. MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME,!!!... what a difference a HOME makes. I would certainly recommend this to ANYONE who can put the pretentious poppycock and airs aside and just appreciate the small accommodating courtesy that bears NO PRICETAG , just common decency for regular common decent tenants. IT COSTS SO LITTLE TO BE KIND! (now I must hunt these guys down for a proper tip!! and I shall not leave without doing so. There's No Towels FOLDED INTO DOVE FIGURES , NO WALK IN SHOWER WITH MULTIPLE NOZZLES, NO CHOCOLATE ON PILLOW.. NO BELLHOP with outstretched gloved hands (a less than subtle DEMAND for tip!) Outrageous! With the personality of dry MELBA toast!! I STILL OBLIGE..as is expected and sadly , customary . A quiet civilized old fashion reprieve. ZERO STRESS I Thank you!

Quite good location if you have a car, 50min to Venice beach etc., if you just want to have cheap, clean night go for it, the interior of the house it's just old and used but the place overall is tidy and enough just to take a splash and sleepover, recommend it ✌️
Fee for the parking (15$), if you want to place the car at the property drive, (watch out with low suspension cars is tricky not to scratch underneath it)

The manager he was nice but some things should be fixed , the door lock didn’t work for the private room so we felt unsafe . The rest was ok the room had an ac so it wasn’t that bad
The mattress was super hard uncomfortable , it smelled weird . Lock didn’t work you could still open the door even if it was locked
