The property is in an amazing location and the views were incredible. Our room was right on the water and we had a nice balcony and calm waters right outside our door.
We were disappointed by the attitude of the staff around the property when it came to dietary requests and simple questions.
Many of the facilities were closed which we were not informed about prior to our visit, and the breakfast was very poor. For a ‘resort and spa’ that used to have a good reputation, the service below average.
The spa and hot tub were closed, they don’t offer housekeeping during your stay, and the breakfast was served in a box and was just an assortment of snacks rather than a buffet style or restaurant meal.
For a resort that is locally known for its upscale and pleasant experience, this was a bit disappointing.

Everything! Gorgeous location, older but spacious “suites” with separate living room area. Helpful staff, delicious food at restaurant.
BUT we were charged $70 more fir our two rooms than promised via Booking.com. We had a third person in one room, who was planned and included all along. 😫😡😫

Amazing view!!! Breakfast boxes were awesome and handy:)
No hot water in our room due to propane issues so we had to shower in different units that were run down and kinda creepy.

The location was great and the ocean view was lovely.
We wished we had a room on the other side where we would have had the sun.
We could hear the guests above us walking on the floor and flushing the toilet, etc.

Our visit was mid week, Tuesday to Friday. Very relaxing, private, calming environment. Truly beautiful, beautiful grounds and awe inspiring views!
Various sealife spotted including a mother seal and her pup who entertained us as we sat on the outdoor deck at the restaurant. The meal was of satisfactory size, visually appealing and definitely palate pleasing.
Our suite was comfortable and roomy.
Disappointed in the fact that the restaurant was only open for the last evening we were there and only limited hours. The suite offered a barsized refrigerator but nothing more for preparing meals inroom. We had to leave the resort to find our meals elsewhere and the choices were limited, few and fat between.
The boat to The Painters Lodge, a sister accommodation, was no longer available.
And most disappointing, aside from the restricted restaurant availability, the spa was closed... no reason given.
The resort is definitely showing its age the buildings, which could use a bit of a facelift, the decks and stairs could use some repair and paint. I tried to see 'her' as rustic, however, it is more like a senior with noticeable aging, white hair and wrinkles. Still somewhat beautiful in her own right but you can see her better days have passed and sadly, her aging needs are not being met.
At the very least... the name should be changed the to April Point Resort. It seems a little deceiving to even have the word Spa in the name, as that is non existent.

Location is amazing! We saw quite a few seals and a couple sea lions while sitting on the deck. Staff is very friendly.
The rooms could have been a bit cleaner.

The location is great.
We have been to this resort quite a few times and it needs some upgrading. We love it there and hope it will get back to how it use to be.

Loved our room with a view. Stayed there last year in one of the cottages for a weekend. Always love the location!!
Was disappointed that restaurant and spa weren't open and no more water taxi. Rates are still same without the amenities available

I didn’t know breakfast was included
Windows could have been cleaner -I guess with being so close to the ocean water it’s tough to keep them clean

The location of April Point is beautiful - great views and very quiet.
The resort is very run down. The "king studio" (old cabin in the woods) we stayed in was dirty, had spiders and cobwebs everywhere, the electric water tank kept tripping the fuse, the smoke detector was old and broken so someone could possibly die in a fire if the electrical has an issue. The TV set up was a mess but all that had to be done to get it to work was to press hidden buttons on the front of the TV but the management didn't even know that. The hot tub hasn't worked for at least 5 years (I know because I stayed here about 4 years ago and it was broken then). The door handle and lock were so old and when closed, locks you out. If you lose the key, you have to pay the hotel $50. The restaurant only serves appetizers that were not great and were very expensive. There was a sign on an exit door from the restaurant that said "Are you stupid?" meaning, if a guest tried to enter it, they were stupid. All the staff did the best they could.

Excellent location. Tones of wild life around. Cool breezes even in the hottest days of summer. Has a handy private marina for canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. Excellent property around for lounging, hanging out and short walks.
The bed was a bit noisy. The new menu in the restaurant was somewhat unsatisfactory.

was not able to have take out from restaurant and we had maids knocking at the door 8:30 and so loud cleaning room beside us. for a fancy place that wasn’t relaxing at all.

The location was absolutely beautiful, it was stunning all day long. The staff was PHENOMENAL!!! They’re went above and beyond to accommodate me & make sure that we had the best service!!
We had a beautiful big bathtub & a walk in shower but the water only got hot in the bath tub it never warmed up in the shower even when we ran it for a bit.

Not as described on ad.
No microwave. The cable TV was terrible
Shall I go on
Never go back there

The room and grounds were outstanding, but the lack of a restaurant in such a remote location was disappointing. Without recourse to eat...the value of the stay was diminished as we were reduced to peanut butter and MREs. I would like to have been notified of the problem, in that instance I could have brought something to eat.

Beautiful location and very helpful staff, good coffee machine in the room and free bottled water
The bed wasn’t overly comfy and when people had showers in the rooms above us it was very loud (also late at night and early in the morning)

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant service was slow however, understandable due to just opening. All around excellent experience and wonderful staff. Room was clean and bright. Breathtaking views from all around the resort. Just visiting from Campbell River and it was relaxing and comfortable.

The location view and tub
No hot water for 1st night. Ants spiders and sediment in tub.
Nothing was done to compensate us ,except to shower in another room
