The rooms were very large, it was like living in a 1 bedroom apartment. Everything was very clean. The kitchen had a full sized fridge/freezer, cooktop, microwave. The bed was comfortable. Very quiet, slept well. The employees were friendly, the free purified water in the lobby was great. The location was excellent, 15-20 minutes to everything we needed to do. Only a 10 min drive to everything Hillcrest has to offer including a Whole Foods.
The water alternated between hot and cold in the shower so you had to constantly adjust it while bathing. It is a non smoking hotel but they have a smoking area right in front of the hotel. The smoke goes into the lobby and each time you enter the hotel you smell it. yuck.

Spacious end room.
When checking out, I discovered there’s a goddamn $15 a day parking charge! Both my wife and I are handicapped and have service dogs for mobility. We had absolutely no choice but to park on the property.
We’ve used Candlewood suites for the last four or five years in August and this is the first time we paid for parking. It will be the last because we will search elsewhere for lodging next year. Extremely pissed off about it.
