The breakfast was good
We got the jacuzzi sweet. As soon as I turned it on there was brown stuff that came out of the jets. The tiles were dirty. I also came in alittle after check in time which was 3pm I think I was there at 320ish pm.. our room wasn’t done which would have been nice if they called us. She said it should be done in 20 mins… I came back over an hour later and it still was not done!!

They had no record of our reservation from booking.com. Luckily, they did have a room (right off the noisy lobby) and matched the price.

The staff I think her name was Sophie that greeted me with a smile, told me all about the amenities and was very welcoming. The size of the room was great and the beds were comfortable. Loved that there was tea and coffee 24/7 available. And the kids enjoyed the pool.

The breakfast is good with variety of options (relative to other IHG hotels), including halal food.
Within walking distance from USCIS Application Support Center (ASC). The neighbourhood is quiet, peaceful and lovely. There's an ice machine, and you can refill your water bottles in the gym.
Nearest train station is the Central Islip station.

breakfast was wonderful. Room clean.
STRONG odor of pot smoking in the hallways and elevator.
We were easily able to smell it in the room.
Told the front desk staff who just shrugged and didn’t seem to care.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. The breakfast was better than I expected. The omelets were good, and fruit was fresh.
The only negative was I booked a king size bed and when I arrived, I was told they were all out. I still had to pay the price of the king size bedroom for a double bed which was disappointing.

The Holiday Inn Express has comfortable beds. The breakfast was above average with a pancake machine, fresh fruit, and a variety of standard breakfast fare. The common areas are a little tight, especially on the weekend.
This place is expensive. If we were beachfront or in the heart of a bustling downtown, then the rate would be acceptable. The Holiday Inn Express is located right off the Long Island Expressway, which from the traffic noise in our room all night must be the busiest highway in America. And speaking of noise, our room had a door to an adjoining room. As a result, we could hear every conversation our neighbors had. At 5 in the morning. And when they checked out, we could hear ever conversation from the next group as they checked in around 11:30 at night. The hotel has been updated, but with form over function. The weird shower drain didn't work well, and there was no way to see if it was clogged. So we had to turn off the shower every few minutes to let it drain and not flood the bathroom floor. The toilet struggled to flush. I don't think I'd stay here again.
