We love staying here we stay at this hotel every time we come to Santa Cruz. We just came in June as well and had a great time. My kids love the pool and being so close to the boardwalk is the best.
The only thing that was really disappointing this trip was the pricing. We booked about a month in advance thinking we were doing the responsible thing and securing the best rate, but while we were staying there we noticed the same rooms were going for almost half of what we paid. We paid around $600 total for two nights in a poolside room, and at the current rate we could have stayed in a beach-view room for around what we paid for poolside or cheaper. I completely understand that hotel rates fluctuate based on availability and demand, but it was still frustrating to realize that booking early actually ended up costing us significantly more. I wish there were some sort of price adjustment, credit, or consideration for guests who book ahead and then see such a large drop in rates.

Beautiful view. Sounds of the ocean. Close proximity to beach and Boardwalk. Pool and jacuzzi were great.
